Technika lcd42-207 wont stay on (even with new power board)

The problem started a while ago, The tv sometimes wouldnt turn on (from standby) or would turn on from anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour, We left the TV turned off and unplugged for a few months and then started using it again the other day, Both times it turned on for 45 minutes before going back to standby.
After looking around the internet we got a new power board for it, Put the power board in (100% correctly wired up) and turned the tv on,it turned on for a second and went back to standby, so is now doing the same it did a year ago.
What else could the issue be?

Ive looked over the internet today and seen a fair bit about inverter boards, However if its the inverter board would the whole tv turn off?

The company I got the power board from think it could be the main board? They did say they will happily refund/exchange any items brought with 30 days.. My issue is I dont want to have to keep on messing about ordering and returning.

    Thanks

Do you have a multimeter and soldering equipment?

    Welcome to the forum-
We can help a lot more if you please post good clear pictures of the whole chassis, and then pictures of each board, front and back (in the same orientation) and close up of connectors, (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) using the manage attachments button, which is found by clicking "go advanced" under quick reply.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

    Examples of what is needed

It will be useful if you can say a bit about yourself - skills tools etc.

Decide which boards you are going to use then do pics.

Normally if it is just an inverter fault the tv continues with sound and a very very dark picture
but I guess it would depend on the severity of the fault
