Re: Vizio 26" VW26L Flickering white screen
Hi - Hope this is easier than your previous threads.
Seems flickering is common known fault - there are kits available on ebay
not saying you should buy one but they suggest which caps will need replacement providing your board is the same. I think Budm knows one of the sellers - he has his pics. H emay have others in his library which may help you. Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Re: Vizio 26" VW26L Flickering white screen
Have you got in as far as the Tcon or did you just unplug the cable at the main board end. White screen is sometimes indicative of a fuse blowing on the tcon. Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Re: Vizio 26" VW26L Flickering white screen
I am off to bed soon - Vizios seem to be generally poor. They often have voltage regulators that fail. There are quite a few on the main board so that should keep you busy. As you have guessed you may have multiple problems. Bad caps on the power and bad VRs on the main.
Flickering could also be down to bad caps on the inverter board or a lamp or lamp wiring fault. Is there any sound on any input - can you get a menu to show at all. Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Re: Vizio 26" VW26L Flickering white screen
No-one?
I have been reading the other threads - perhaps try the hair dryer.
First on the Power supply see if it gees the caps up a bit.
then on the main board ( big processor) to see if anything changes.
Not too hot!!Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Here are the pictures of the one I worked on:

Not the same as youir chassis.
It sounds like you haver two problems, one is flickering backlights, and dead T-CON board.
I would get to the T-CON board and checjt he fuse and the voltage on both ends of the fuse. T-con is under the metal shield.Never stop learning

Re: Vizio 26" VW26L Flickering white screen
Not good news for your chassis, you have one of those LCD panel with integrated T-CON board (some kind of setup uses in the small PC LCD monitor). You will have to take the LCD pnael apart to get to the board to check the fuse, not sure if it will be worth it for 26" TVNever stop learning

Re: Vizio 26" VW26L Flickering white screen
It looks like it's integrated into the main board, there's a ribbon cable coming off of the top left. I just got a 47" Vizio E471VLE today, same thing..Comment

by harpTo ask here... I have few devices with white screen problem, actualy nokia 2220 and some fuji? camera, and try to understand what is common problem to cause that issue.
Yes, both devices work everything else probably ok, I mean, I hear intro melody and keypress click sound, DTMF tone, power on off... all ok.
On desk is nokia 2220 slide, and I check all screen connectors and components arround it, measure voltage drop, but all looks ok. I suspect on slide flex cable, but it look ok and white screen is not interupt while flexing board, pushing conectors, and sliding up down. In attachment... -
by domuAs per subject, on power up display shows no image, but white
flickering screen. Strangely, it only happen after power was lost
when it was on. After power returns - white screen only, but if
disconnect power for 12-24 hrs, and connect then again monitor
works normally.
Any clues how to go about it would be greatly appreciated.-

by spice_discI'm currently trying to diagnose and fix my Vizio TV (Model M50-C1). I've tried a number of different basic solutions, but I'm trying to determine if my issue is currently a failing panel, T-Con board, or main board (or something else entirely) and whether or not it is worth my time to fix it. Details of the issue and what I've tried are below as well as why I think it is either a bad panel, T-Con board, or main board.
The Issue: The TV will be on and working fine but after the TV is on for ~5-10 minutes the screen will freeze (with sound continuing) until the TV reboots itself. While...1 Photo -
by Ado02Hello everyone,
We recently replaced the OLED screen on a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Gen 10. After about a month, the replacement screen began to flicker. Initially, updating the Intelยฎ Irisยฎ Xe graphics driver resolved the issue for about a week. However, when the problem recurred, updating the driver again had no effect.
The flickering only occurs once the system reaches the Windows login screen. Interestingly, if we disable the Intel GPU driver or connect the laptop to an external monitor, the flickering stops. We have tried installing two different replacement screens,...12-16-2024, 02:33 PM -
by Ryan.manHello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!
My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... - Loading...
