    I'd check the Vzbias voltage, along with the other voltages the Y-sus produces and the Vs/Va.

      Well, now it won't power on. I'm not sure what happened. I push the power button, the relay clicks, Vs comes up partially, a relay clicks again, and it shuts back off. Even with the PSU unplugged from the sustain boards it does the same thing. Can't say that I'm too happy about it.

        Check the power button isn't stuck. Check AC-D. (maybe AC-DET)
        I gave up on repairing these LG IPM sets a LONNNNG time a go for a very, very good and long list of reasons.

          Power button isn't stuck. I found the AC-D pin but I'm not sure how to test it? It reads zero with the meter on 20VDC. I'm right behind you with these LG/Vizio plasmas.

          There are two or three green LED's on the control board (main board). They both come on when the surge protector is turned on. After the relay clicks, they blink different patterns. I'm not sure what they're trying to tell me so I made a video.

            0V's bad. It should measure 3V or more.
            Can you cut the wire and feed in a voltage through a resistor? The resistor should go to the main board.
            The LEDs on the control board are normal. All lit is bad, they indicate the panel temperature in binary.

              I'm not following you here. There is no wire to the ACD pin.

                Hmm, odd. Which board is that?
                Check the RLY-ON signal.

                  I'm watching a movie with my kids. I'll revisit this in the morning. Have a good night Tom.

                  That's the power supply by the way.

                      Here's a pic of the power supply. The plug in the pic I posted last night is in the lower right corner next to the fuse holder.

                      Rly-on = 4.6v at power on, at which point the relay clicks and Vs-on jumps to ~4.5v. The relay clicks again and rly-on drops to 4.3v and stays there while Vs-on drops back to 0v. When you push the power button again rly-on drops to 0v.

                              I had a breakthrough. I got the PSU to work.

                              Vzbias = 97.3V across both resistors.
                              Va = 60V
                              Vs = 189V

                              I don't know how to check or adjust the other voltages on this set.

                                  Yeah. The panel lights but its still really dim. Vs was too high. I turned it down and the psu came on. I then adjusted it back to nominal.

                                          I've got the scope, where do I take the readings from? I'm looking at the training manual for this panel (see attached). When checking Vs, Va, and Vzbias, the readings match the label on the panel. When checking Vsc and Vy, my meter goes into overload, even when it's set on 1000VDC!!! I can't believe that this thing is pushing +1000VDC and not smoking. I'm afraid to check it with the scope for fear of blowing something.

                                            I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

                                            Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

                                            I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

                                            The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

                                            With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                            Hi.

                                            picked up another TV. This time is a Vizio M65-C1. TV does not turn on. I had repaired another 60 inch vizio , Bad main board.
                                            When power button is pressed, the Power led indicator on the bottom right, turns for a few seconds and then it fades away. No backlight or Vizio logo on screen. Removed back cover and repeated test.
                                            This is the TV This TV is a little different from the Samsung I have worked on. Power supply is on the Left side, Main Bd is on the right side, T-CON , not in the picture is on the bottom. I am assuming that the boards in the middle are the LED...

                                            Vizio SmartCast TV software bug that looks like hardware
                                            by howardc64
                                            Bug looks like hardware so thought I posted it here. Exact same behavior on 2 different model 4K Vizio TVs running their SmartCast smarttv software. After launching youtube app, press vizio button on remote to return to the smarttv menu, once in awhile, a column of bad pixels will show for few seconds on the left hand side.

                                            It seems the vizio software is reinitializing hardware when returning to the smarttv menu. In general, SmartCast software isn't very good. Also will randomly (relatively infrequent) get no network connection when on wifi and require reboot....

                                            I replaced the backlights all good. Two months later set was dead, had a shorted D9100, replaced all good again.
                                            Now months later set powers up,backlights light ok,no picture. 12volts missing from fuse on tcon. 12VA on power
                                            supply is 19 volts. Changed D9100 again, same, 12 volts measures 19. Am I looking at a power supply or mainboard
                                            issue. Set will power up with remote but not power off....
