      What does "nothing" mean? 0.000?

OK, so now we are getting somewhere. Please remove the power board and take clear photos of the top and bottom sides.

Have you checked the fuse on PSU?

Like a plug type fuse if so there is not one.

There will be one on the board somewhere. It is a legal requirement.

There's definitely a fuse on there. Look for "AH 250VAC".

That fuse may be on the back cover where the power cord gets plugged in like the Polaroids..

Meter on 200 ohms, across the fuse, report what reading you get, and refrain from using "no reading".

                                            by jdawg99
                                            Hi,

Trying to fix a bush TV. The Tcon is integrated onto the main board by the looks of it but before I buy a replacement does this look like a screen fault? The lines at the bottom are concerning me. I have check for shorts on the caps etc and can't see anything obvious. Nothing is overly hot and I've tried heating different boards and pressing down on the flex but no change in picture.

Any advice welcome. Thanks in advance....

Hi, I was recently given a Bush Smart TV by a friend and the main board seems to be hanging on by a thread.

Before we get to that, my first obstacle was figuring out the model number since the back sticker has gone for a walk. Upon taking off the back case, I noticed the following Vestel parts, 17MB95m mainboard, 17IPS71 (what I'd assume is power supply) and a VES420UNVL-3D-S02 display panel. After doing some research I think the TV I have is a Bush ELED42240FHDCNTD3D, based on the matching image here (https://www.manualslib.com/manual/11...td3d.html#manu...

                                            by PanicMechanic
My multimeter has developed this fault, a few months ago. I tried to fix it, but had no success.

The fault is that on the current ranges it never shows 0. Does not matter if the probes are open or shorted.
As you can see from the pics, the offser is the same (just multiplied for other rages):

                                            -4.9 uA
                                            -0.49 mA
                                            -0.49 A

I don't know what exactlly caused the fault.

The meter had a battery leak before I noticed the fault, but I am not sure if the fault was present before that happened. I just did not noticed. The battery leaked...

                                            MSI GTX1070 design fault?
                                            by didi79
Hi I'm working on a MSI GTX1070 Gaming 8G. Vmem is missing. Strange enough the card otherwise is working: All other voltages are there and the card is even detected. Obviously no image output because of "missing" memory.

This is a picture of the uP1642P. It controls the memory voltage rail. Primary suspect of the fault.

                                            Datasheet uP1642P

Pin 21 PVCC should be 5V. Datasheet says 6.5V max.
But on this card it is actually getting 12V (measured), only a 2 ohm resistor separating it from the 12V rail.
                                            Is that a design fault?...

                                            Hi People,

                                            i have a really strange fault on a laptop, which i am reparing. It's a Lenovo Thinkpad L13 18834-1M.

Visually I could see that PU4501 (TPS51393RJER-GP) was burned so I removed the IC and ordered a spare part. Looking into Schematics showed, that the IC is responsible for the 3.3V rail. I noticed, that after removing the IC there is still a short on that bus (0.4 Ohm). Furthermore PU5201 & PU4551 are also short. Voltage injection showed a huge current drawn of up to 2.5 A but with only a slight temperature flickering at U4004 (TPS22976DPUR-GP) using ethanol....
