Sony KDL 52W5100 No Picture but sound

My Sony KDL-52W5100 quit working after 3 year's service. The sympton is: 1) No picture
2) audio works 3) back light works

I checked the fuse on T-Con board, it seems okay with 0.3 Ohm. I seriously suspect either the main board or the t-con board has problem.

Consider $1500 for just 3 years, it seemsTV industry gain a pvery high margin profits. Not ready to dump this TV yet, if I can repair it. Any input is appreciated.

Do you get any DC voltage on that T-CON fuse?

i had the same problem with sony 40v 2000 i changed t-con board and the tv now is all right

Yes, I measure it. One side is 12.4v and the other side is 12.3v. Besides the T-Con fuse, what could be potential pitfalls?

Do you get any DC voltage on that T-CON fuse?

I would like to get a t-con board to try it out. It seems not easy to find one for my model.

Called Sony and they don't sell it.

You need to match the P/N of the printed circuit board assembly number (not the blank circuit bord number), the PCBA number is usually printed on the bard code.

I lean toward bad T-CON, it is cheaper than the main board most of the time. Make sure to use the silicone heat transfer pads that are on the old IC and on the cover.

thanks for everybody's help. The new T-Con board fixed the problem.
