Phillips 42PFL7432D/37 LCD Has Blue Light But No Picture or Sound

Just picked up a Phillips 42PFL7432D/37 LCD.
    1. Plugged it in and blue power light comes on in front (stays on) and tv clicks.
    2. Plugged in a video source DVD (no picture or sound) black screen.
    3. Took back off, plugged it back in and again for inspection.
    4. I looked at the capacitors but they "seem fine" to me.
    5. I can see 3 green led light cluster on, and another green light on near top of set near a connection.
    6. Another Blue light comes on for a few seconds than goes out (far left side of rear tv frame), but nothing on the right side.
I have very clear pics... please help!

do you know if the back light is coming on? You can use a flashlight on front screen and see if you can see image.

proscan 40ld45q - no pic -no sound - no backlight - blue light turns off

      proscan 40ld45q

Have tried published resets with no help. (unplug for 10, push on-off for 30, push menu and vol +, etc.)

After being plugged in, red light comes on. Push power button and blue light comes on for ~five seconds then goes out. Power button does not turn the unit on a second time - have to unplug/re-plug before power button will try to start with blue light.

No sound, no picture (used flashlight test).

No bulging cap, no burn spots, no burn smells, nothing visual (cold joints/breaks/bugs).

      Digital voltmeter;...

Monitor Audio RSW12 - Green light, but no sound
      by MOSSEP
      Hi

Im hoping someone might be able to give me some idea of what may be wrong with my Monitor Audio RSW12 Sub.

Ive owned it since new in around 2002, so would really like to keep it running if I can, it was the first ‘decent' bit of audio equipment I ever purchased and is a little sentimental.

The issue I had was that it would power up with the red light, but sometimes the green light would not come on and I would get no bass from it. If the green light did come on though, I would get sound out of it.

I have already tried replacing all of the...

what i went through dealing with my mobo with dead onboard sound!
      by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

PS5 EDM-033 Blue Light 2 Sec then Powers Off
      by TurboTundra
Hi, I am waiting for my uart tool so I can grab an error code and narrow down where my issue is, but I decided to measure capacitors and fuses to insure everything was okay.

The PS5 turns on with a blue light and a beep for 1-2 seconds then turns off. I noticed a grey capacitor measures no voltage on standby or input power. Does this indicate a problem with the capacitor or something down on the line? I’m getting 3.3v on input with the red cap next to the grey one, and 5.2v on input with the red cap further away from the grey cap.

      Thank you for any input...

Samsung UN60F8000BFXZA ~ No Picture or Sound - 5 Res Light Blinks
      by kca
      Hello all ~

I’m working on this Samsung 60” LED and purchased a new main board a couple of days ago that did not fix the 5 blink issue. The original main board’s HDMI ports (all 4 of them) failed to work and no amount of reflow remedied that.

This 5 red light blink code on the front panel LED is followed (about 15-20 seconds afterward) by an automatic reboot, and results in 5 more red light blinks. Then the entire cycle repeats itself indefinitely.

      No picture. No sound.

I tested all the voltages coming out of the power supply...
