    37" Philips 37PF9431D/37 Won't turn on (2 fast blinks, 1 long blink)

Here's a Philips 37PF9431D/37 LCD TV I just got. Symptoms are, I plug it in and theres no LED light (not sure if this model has a standby light?)

When I press the power button, the LED lights up green for a second (relay goes on) and then the green goes off and the red LED light comes on (relay goes off).

It'll blink twice really fast and then blink once for a longer time, then repeats.

Opened it up, no bad caps (its actually filled with rubycon capacitors) I can't seem to find any labels for 5V standby voltages, or any labels at all on the connectors.

Does anyone have the service manual for this set? I'm not sure of the code it is blinking.

Wow, that's bare bones PSU! Try following the two cables over to where they connect on the other boards and see if they are labeled there. You can try searching elektrotanya.com for the SM.

That resistor fixed it! Replaced with a 100 ohm 1W resistor. I could of swore I searched the model here and didn't find anything before...

I find the best way to search badcaps is to use google's "site" method. For instance:

          site:badcaps.net 37PF9431D/37

          https://www.google.com/search?q=site...37PF9431D%2F37

It works a bit better than vBulletin search.

Philips 55 oled 804/12 red light blink
              by djordje
              Hello all,

I have Philips Oled 55 (804/12) with black screen and red light blink.

I have opened TV and tested voltages based on similar oled topics, on power supply board i am getting ps_o/f 3.3v and 5v for t-con_o/f while panel_o/f is 0v. And i get black screen.

Also i have done self psb test and i am getting on psb +12V_t and also + 24V for panel. (Measurements on dmm are + 12.3V fot t-con and 22.4 for panel)

When i power only psb and tcon with 4 ribbons for panel i only get black screen.

My questions is what should i do next...

HP Omen 15-dc0001nh capslock blinks 5 long and 3 short
              by Tom_x
              Hi,

I have HP Omen 15-dc0001nh (DA0G3DMBCE0 rev: E) with blinking capslock 5 long and 3 short. Fans spin constans speed.

HP worked for 2 months after i repaired (before damaged by thunder via rj45 port) I removed LAN ic and powered on

              Now with blinking capslock:
All voltage present on big coils, except +VCCGT (i don't know this need for booting)

I tried re-flash bios with known firmware- same result (now i don't have spare bios chip to test spi flash failure)
DDR4 ram is ok, tested on other laptop
              WLAN and SSD removed,...

Un50cu7000 2 blink oddity *partially solved
              by EazyBone
I write this to maybe help another with this TV.

So I aquired this TV a 2023 model. It started the 2 blink reboot problem which indicates bad panel. It was still under warranty and the repair man came by.

The Samsung repairman brought a brand new panel and switched my original boards to the new panel. The new panel then had the 2 blink error code. The repair guy said he has seen this and the MAIN board on this model will cause the 2 blink. He then replaced the main/power board (they are both connected) and put it back onto my original panel. Voila it worked.

Hi this tv was fine until the owner moved to another address,

tried a power on reset by holding down power on button on rear of tv and applying mains no luck
first inspected for damage dry joints or loose foils no joy
checked psu volts ,the 12v and 24v supplies should be switched on by the main board no volts
i read on the net that the micro on some later philips may need a reflow ,removed psu checked all caps with esr meter all ok
              removed main board
