I've never touched a plasma set before. This is entirely new territory.

I was told that "we were watching it, it went "click" and turned off. It makes sound, but no video."

I checked the fuses inside, and none of them are blown.

    Photos of the boards, forthcoming.

after the pictures, check the power supply for voltages and see what if any are missing. use the chassis of the set for ground and probe the connectors. most have a legend imprinted near the connections to tell voltages. the ve and vsus should be on a label affixed to the back of the panel.

It appears that none of the voltages are missing.

Accidentally touched multi meter lead to multiple pins on power supply.Vizio E400i-B2
          by S.gilletly
I am currently attempting to fix my TV and my sisters TV. I recently took voltages from my sisters E400i-B2 vizio power supply. I accidentally touched multiple pins with my lead on CN201. Pins 7-12v and 8 -12v where both reading between 10-10.8vdc when powered on. since I touched multiple pins at once and caused a quick arc the same pins are now reading 3.7dvc when on and off. I'm lost at this point. Any information would be great. thank you

          PHILIPS 32PHS5505 side board problem
          by jboxer
hi, im working on a Philips tv that works good, mainboard good, backlight good but the side board that control the lcd panel don't work good, in first time it only worked when I touched the board in a specific point that was very hot, I think it was a short-circuit and when I touched it my hand worked like dissipator, I had found that the source was a resistance so when I eliminate it there wasn't a short-circuit anymore but still without image only color lines when I touch the new resistance wit a metalic thing and it sparks, where can be the problem? lasts image are a close up of the board(ins't...

Can a BIOS chip survive hot-air soldering but still lose functionality?
          by majster-pl
          Hello everyone,
I’ve run into an issue after working with a laptop BIOS chip and wanted to get some advice.

I desoldered the BIOS chip using hot air and then read its contents with a CH341 programmer (only a read, no write or erase was done). The .bin file was not modified at all. After soldering the chip back, the laptop now no longer powers on.

          For clarity:

No surrounding components were touched during the process.

All pads were checked with test points and were confirmed OK.

          My question is:...
