LG 60PK540 has audio, but no video

My 60" plasma is only 1.5 year old and one night, while watching a movie, its video suddenly disappeared. The audio is still there. There is nothing flicking at all while powering on/off. Over a period of a month I have purchased and replaced Y Sus, Z sus, and also the control boards from a reputable vendor. The situation with the TV remains the same. I have measured the outputs of the power board to Y and Z sus' and the voltages are as stated on the boards. All the fuses seem OK, too. I have disconnect either up and bottom buffers connected to the Y sus, and did not see any change to the video. Are there any further test that I can do to explore the situation? Thanks in advance.

By the way, while connecting the buffers, I damaged one of the two connectors between Y sus and buffers boards. Any kind soul knows the part number of this fragile looking 20-pin connector? Thanks again.

Well, I answered your question in the monitors section. I will repost the jist of my answer:

Can we have some pictures of the TV's chassis (parts layout) and one of each major board?

    I've got an alignments guide:

I've got a block diagram for the 60PK750 (it uses a 60R1 panel like the 60PK540 so it should be more or less the same) which has some checks:

    including some meter test points.

I say after replacing all those boards and you still are not receiving video that you have to blame the panel at that point, although it is impossible to have or purchase a panel just to verify this problem. Don't spend anymore time or money on the thing in MHO.

It's pretty rare for a plasma panel to fail with no picture (i.e. gas leak) if it has no "buzz" of death.

However without a scope to determine all the voltages are present would be the only way for me to make decision, whether it his is panel or not. However it is rare occasion that plasma panel fail for no video, but I have seen it. Just dont keep thinking that it is not your panel, cause even if it is your y-sus or x-main just remember what there driving.

Yes, a scope is pretty much essential, though, you can do basic checks with a DMM. For example the ERC caps (the poly film ones, near the larger inductors) should show from around 60~120V, depending on the displayed image (whether visible or not.)

Very much appreciate all your help. I have still had no progress in getting any flicker back on the panel. My local LG electrician also think it should be the panel. Hate to throw away such nice looking TV, but guess that's what have to do. Thank you all again.

Stick it on craigslist for $10. Someone will buy it.

Tom, can you explain the purpose of testing the ERC caps? that sounds like valuable test that is doable with a DMM, but what does just a test indicate? IPM (partial) failure?
