JDV LCD has vertical lines

Hello.
Does any one know what causes this simpton?
It started with one line then started to get worse over time.

Is there a possibility to fix it?

Just noticed that I forgot to write the model.
TV Model: LC - 32m5s

I can't seem to be able to find how to edit the thread name, so this just has to do.

The LCD panel is defective and it's unlikely this will be repairable.

Do you know what can cause this, and what happens when this happens?

It's probably due to water or moisture in the screen. Either that, or the layers are de-laminating due to heat. My friend has a similar issue with a 32", but it's only one line.
