    VIZO VX32l HDTV10A

I am needing some help on this one. I have searched the forum and read the post on this style VIZO TV seems most problems are with the voltage regulators. the tv has no back lighting but the vizo emblem turns from orange to white back to orange with power button. I have not checked the audio short of turning up the volume with the audio + button no sound heard but no audio source hooked up to tv either. tv has 5 volts from j7 power header but no 12 or 24 volts. The voltage regulators are as follows
    U2
    AMC 1117
    f0632j
    1 3.24
    2 5.25
    3 8.14

      U2, the output should be 1.25 + 3.24 = 4.49V, you are getting 5.25V
      AMC 1117
      f0632j
      1 3.24
      2 5.25
      3 8.14

      u4, the output should be 1.25 + 3.27 = 4.52V, you are getting 5.27V
      AMC 1117
      f0632j
      1 3.27
      2 5.27
      3 8.09

      u7, the output should be 1.25 + 0 = 1.25V, you are getting 1.93V
      AMC 1117
      f0632j
      1 0
      2 1.93
      3 5.07

      u8, the otput should be 1.25 + 3.22 = 4.47V, you are getting 5.19V
      AMC 1117
      f0632j
      1 3.22
      2 5.19
      3 8.00

      u9, the output should be 1.25 + .38 = 1.63V, you are getting 2.31V
      AMC 1117
      f0632j
      1 0.38
      2 2.31
      3 5.08

      u33, the output should be 1.25 + 3.14 = 4.39V, you are getting 5.03V
      AMC 1117
      f0632j
      1 3.14
      2 5.03
      3 7.88

Since ALL the outputs are wrong, I would say check you meter's batteries first! Are you using chassis ground as the ground ref?

So you have one bad regulator. Do you see how I come about finding out which is good which is bad? The output should be within 2%. Please read the link below so you will understand, I also provide the link to Digikey for ordering adjustable 1117 series regulator.
Thanks for posting correct format on the read out of the regulator, it makes my job much easier.

I repaired a Vizio 42" with the AMC1117 Series Regulators, only one regulator was bad, U7 in my case. But since U33 seems to have a high failure rate in these Vizios I replaced it as well, they were 49 cents each from Digikey, Power supply was fine in mine and the set is still working since October.

We get these low battery problems about once a week. Some cheaper multimeters do not display low battery warning on the lcd and give incorrect readings which leads us on wild goose chases.

Digikey is based in Minnesota which I believe is one of the States of the Union.

You need a credit/debit card to pay with PayPal anyway... so I dunno what difference it makes...

OK, in which case those parts look fine to me.

                                    How to replace the part:
