    Samsung HLT5075SX Bad DLP chip?

I got a Samsung HLT5075SX that was given to me, not working.
Following the service manual troubleshooting guide, I ended up replacing the DMD board, and sure enough the TV "works" again.

But it has two problems the "white dot syndrome" , meaning that the DPL chip is defective.

Now, the second problem is the one that I would like opinions/ideas on.

when testing the TV sometimes it wont start, and following the troubleshooting guide it seems like the DMD board has failed, but if I disconnect the power and wait a while the TV comes back on and works again.

My question is, could the defective DPL chip be causing also this?

I'm not sure if I should buy the chip because I dont want to turn this tv into a money pit.

    Thanks for your opinions...

      Update...

Hope this may help someone else.

I changed the DLP chip, and the white dots problem was fixed, but the issue with the power keept going.
After doing some research learned that I needed to reset the lamp counter/meter. (I did reset all to factory default but the lamp meter alone should do the trick)

So here is how. (all samsung DLP tv's )

Begin with the TV powered off.

Point your remote towards your TV.

      Press:

      Mute - 1 - 8 - 2 - Power.

Your TV set should now say “Loading Factory”.

Browse down to “Option” then press Enter (or the right cursor button).

NOTE: The Mute-1-8-2 buttons needs to be pressed down consecutively and fairly quickly. If your TV does not enter the service menu after using this combination, you can subsitute MENU instead of MUTE. This seems to work for some sets. Also, the right cursor arrow also acts as the ENTER button, so try it if you're having difficulty with the ENTER button.

To exit the service menu, hit press the EXIT button or just turn off your TV (remember not to turn on your TV immediately afterwards!).

ASRock B650M PRO RS - BIOS CHIP 25Q256JW BLOCKED BY STATUS REGISTERS
        by DynaxSC
        Hi

I have a very strange issue with the BIOS SPI chip of an ASRock B650M PRO RS motherboard.
The SPI chip is an Winbond 25Q256JWEQ model (1V8).
The motherbaord doas not POST - it lits only CPU and DRAM EZ Debug Leds, and stays that way forever.
The Flashback function of the motherbaord is also not working, despite all instructions followed correctly - I'm 100% sure of this.

I have then desoldered the chip, backupped the contents, and tried to earease the chip in order to program stock image, but the chip is locked by status registers SREG2 (TB) and SREG6...

        Defective BIOS chip
        by Pize92
        Hello everyone.
        I have a problem.
The BIOS chip on my Lenovo Legion 5 17ACH6H appears to be defective. I wanted to read the chip first with the ch431a programmer and then with the t48 and create a dump. However, it always threw an error during verification.
I then bought a new BIOS chip from Aliexpress and loaded an existing dump onto the chip. With the corresponding DMI.
Unfortunately, the laptop now keeps restarting.

My question is, can you simply use the DMI from a foreign dump, or is the motherboard completely lost due to the defective BIOS chip?

How do I find a defective RAM chip
        by rumpumpel1
I have a ThinkPad T14 which always finds an error at a very specific address during a RAM test. I therefore believe that exactly one of the RAM chips on the mainboard is defective. How do I find this defective RAM chip?
