Swap main boards? If they are compatible.

AX080E002B = 80cm = 31.496 inches
AX094E002B = 94cm = 37.007 inches

Model numbers are otherwise the same so it should work with the 32" board.

The 37" is AX094B002A. Main board is under a metal shield on the 32" Ill see what board # it is..

Any chance it could be t-con board? They are dirt cheap and main board I couldn't even find.

It's unlikely to be the t-con. It could be, but I'd judge it to be unlikely, because we've seen this before on this forum with other Toshiba TVs, they seem to have about a million different panel choices...

The main board #'s are:

32" - 431C0351L02
37" - 431C0351L22

Not compaible according to Jimmy but do you think it's worth a try? Also it seems like the other main board would belong with the IPS panel now as both are using same main board and panel correct?

I'd see how it goes... you can sometimes put the TVs back to back and connect the LVDS over if you don't want to make the switch completely.

Tom as usual you are spot on.

While removing screws from 37" noticed (2) were missing..

Put the 32" main board in the 37" and picture is perfect. WTF!?! LOL


So what do you think? Should I just buy another identical board from that 32" or try to do a firmware upgrade or that reset when I get the remote, or do you think it's just the wrong board? Since these 2 boards are so close in part #'s Im just not sure what the actual problem is..

I wouldn't risk flashing the working main board.
I'd sell the 37" as working, because it is a decent TV, and then get it out of the way.

I'd then work on getting a board for the 32" or perhaps tweaking contrast/brightness enough to get an "acceptable" picture with minimal distortion.

Ya I wasn't gonna mess with the good main board I was talking about the other one..

So best I can tell the board that was in the 37" is a 431C0351L22

Listed for an LG panel.

The one listed for the APS panel is 431C0351L21

So it seems like unless I can somehow configure it for the APS panel I'll have to replace it?? I'll try the settings stuff from the SM and report back what happens.

As far as the board from the 32" working in the 37" could there be any issues there?

The only issue I see is the model number in a help menu may come up incorrectly, I do not consider that a problem. Check everything on it though.

Im not sure if it's worth the trouble just wondering as the main boards are kinda pricy..

I'd try contacting Toshiba -- they are usually reasonable about this...

Toshiba was no help the firmware has to be be done be an authourized service center and after calling the guy he said they didn't think firmware would fix it..

When you get the RC check what the system software version is.

If it's something like "0.06-LPL" instead of "0.06-IPS", then it is configured for an LG (ex-Philips) display panel, not an IPS Alpha one. Or something like that.

Ok got the new remote, yes the original main board has the LG firmware for this IPS panel..

I noticed at the bottom there is an RF F/W Upgrade, what is that??
