X-Main sounds like your problem there yes. It sounds like it's shorted.

I believe X-Main supplies a sustain waveform to the common electrode of the panel, to maintain the charge in the cells until the next scan. You can see the effect it has when it is removed, if there is no protection circuit that prevents the panel coming on, and assuming VA isn't routed the the lower drivers via a connection on it.

X-main provides the common sustain waveform and erase voltage Ve. Y-main provides sustain and scan waveform.

I was helping a guy on YouTube with one of these TVs - he has evenly spaced vertical lines. The guy just about drove me nuts:

Me: Since the lines appear to be evenly spaced, I'd say that you have a logic control board problem. I'd try re-seating the connectors or cleaning the contacts with electronic contact cleaner first. If that doesn't work, I'd replace the logic control board; it's the small board that usually sits somewhere near the center of the panel.

TV Owner: Where is the logic control panel? And the connector

Me: It's the logic control BOARD, not panel. I explained in my previous comment that it's a small board on the back of the plasma panel. You'll see the connectors going to that board. Again, either the connectors need to be cleaned or the board most likely needs to be replaced.

TV Owner: I did research on Google n alot of people having the same problem with this tv. They said it could be the y-main board r plasma panel need to be replaced

Me: What's the model number of the TV?

          TV Owner: PN50B450B1D

Me: Ok, I've worked on several similar Samsungs. Other people may have just a few vertical lines on one side of the panel, and that's normally a bad panel. In your case, you have evenly spaced lines, which points to a processing issue. There are more involved tests you can do, but first try bringing up the TV's menu to see if the lines are in front of the menu or behind it. Do the lines move or are they always in the same spots? I highly doubt you have a panel or Y-main problem.

TV Owner: So what problems do you think I'm having if its not a panel r y-main board problem

Me: I'm sorry, but you're obviously not listening to my advice. You cannot diagnose an issue without testing it, and you aren't posting any results of tests I've suggested you perform. Please reread my comments. I'd replace the logic control board if the lines are stationary. Hopefully, you can solve your problem. I need to move on. Here's how to identify parts: watch?v=R1jmj_foId0

I got this TV Samsung PN50B450B1D and I found the X-SUS board to be bad. Could not find any available online so I decided I had to fix it. After testing the board I found 3 out of 4 RJH3044 Transistors to be bad so I ordered 10 and as far as I can tell this is the only thing wrong with the TV. Now I have to wait 3 weeks because they are coming from China. I will update as soon as I get it fixed.

Have same set I'm currently about to work on the owners say it cuts on then shuts down after a few seconds and there's the flashing red light I'm sure from the logic board any thoughts before I take a look at it? Plasmas are really not usually ones I work on and have had bad experiences with thanks..

OK, so here is the update. After repairing the X-SUS board I also found that under neath the board the copper traces were burnt, melted apart like a fuse. So I fixed that and all the parts on the TV were now in working order. But it seems the shock went to the panel and damaged that. The panel was buzzing really loud but the TV was on. So I started disconnecting the cables from the screen and the more cables I disconnected the quieter the TV got. Finally disconnected all the cables from the panel and the buzzing went away. I then determined the panel to be bad. If someone thinks I am wrong please explain.
