Re: panasonic tc-p60st30 won't turn on
7 blinks is SC, SU or SD. Not SS. And SS2 is a piece of copper disguised as a circuit board, really nothing on there to go wrong. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: panasonic tc-p60st30 won't turn on
In which case it is the A Board misdiagnosing 8 blinks, possibly. Check TP_SOS8 on SS board. There is also the possibility of it being a bad panel.Last edited by tom66; 01-18-2013, 03:20 PM.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: panasonic tc-p60st30 won't turn on
This is possibly a bad panel (detection error, not necessarily too bad to display an image.) You may be able to disable the 8 blink code to see if the picture is good. Short the TPSOS8 to ground using a 100 ohm resistor, and it should fire up, although you may see a 6 or 7 blink error. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. It's on the SS board near the connector going to the A board. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

So I suspect a bad plasma panel in this instance.
You can try and rule out the SU and SD by unplugging them. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Inspect the panel carefully for cracks and marks on the screen under the glass. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

by sam_sam_samI did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow
This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

by canadaboy25I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.
The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.
I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was... -
by tikuHello Friends, i am having this model Panasonic TH-L32C30D, suddenly when i switch on, it went on One Blink, after looking at the service manual it says Backlight_SOS, I can see the menu on the tv screen for few seconds in the dark with the help of flashlight Before it goes into blinking cycle.
I was having a backup P-Board which i replaced it and now its working fine, but i need to repair my faulty P-Board, as now its getting dificult to find any type of spares of this model, so can any friend who is master in Panasonic Repair, be kind enough to guide me or tell me which component should...09-05-2021, 05:02 AM -
by howardc64All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
- TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
- Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

by stecosHi everyone!
I happened several times, in the search for help from the web, to consult this very interesting forum.
So I decided to sign up and I intend to participate actively by making available my knowledge and experience on the subject, I'm a new user but at the same time I'm old in the sense that I have 4 decades of experience in repairing and designing electronics but above all I'm a great passionate about the subject.
Having said that I come to the gist of my post on the forum as the title suggests.
For my passion for technology I'm now collecting several... - Loading...
