Thanks for the info! Does this affect the TH-42PZ70BA too? I'm on the look out for one of those as a TV for the student house.

I would have a hard time believing the TV is showing a picture and shutting down into 7 blinks. Either he is blowing smoke or miscounting the blinks.
In the one experience I've had with a Panny plasma, a FET on the SC was bad but the screen still primed. That was it though. No picture, no sound, just the screen priming and then 7 blinks. I was able to replace the FET and get the set working again.

I am not entirely sure as the Sevice bulletin I have only mentions the US Models. I would lean toward yes due to the fact that the circuits are practically the same on the SC and driver boards but I can't guarantee that. Either way this is one TV that I do not hesitate to pick up because the boards themselves are worth so much.

I probably would do it if I was closer, 70 miles one way, and he would come down on his price, $85. I've been trying to line up a few tvs in the same area to make it worth the time and money. It's difficult when I can't get responses from everyone in a timely manner.

Samsung UN60F8000BFXZA ~ No Picture or Sound - 5 Res Light Blinks
            by kca
            Hello all ~

I’m working on this Samsung 60” LED and purchased a new main board a couple of days ago that did not fix the 5 blink issue. The original main board’s HDMI ports (all 4 of them) failed to work and no amount of reflow remedied that.

This 5 red light blink code on the front panel LED is followed (about 15-20 seconds afterward) by an automatic reboot, and results in 5 more red light blinks. Then the entire cycle repeats itself indefinitely.

            No picture. No sound.

I tested all the voltages coming out of the power supply...

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 8 blinks then no blinks
            by Andre Gilbert
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
            by TR103
            Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
            - sound and backlight, but no picture
            - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
            - it keeps rebooting
            - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
            - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
            - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

            - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

Panasonic TH-55AS670A no picture no sound
            by mar1in
            Hi everyone,

I've got this Panasonic TV here with the following symptoms:

            * Standby Light is solid RED
            * Turning on using the Button on the TV (long press) would change LED to blinking GREEN
            * After a couple of seconds, LED is solid GREEN and without picture or sound.

I've tried a couple of things before tearing it apart:

            * Resetting using various combinations of powerbutton and volume buttons pressing down while booting.
            * Activating Self Check according to service manual using IR Blaster (we have no remote unfortunately)...

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
            by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and
