    E-Motion X23/69E super easy fix :)

So, just picked this tv up, lady said it had no display, but sound was fine.

Get it home and it was obvious someone had tried opening it but not succeded, snapped screw mounts so some screws no longer screw in. I went ahead and opened it, its one where the front bezel comes off then you unscrew the screen mounts and lift the lcd panel up to reveal the boards.

Anyway, here is some pics, sorry for quality, no idea where cam charger is?

This is exactly as i found it, can you see the problem??

Its full hd 1080p, with usb, freeview and dvd. Only 23" but who cares, it only cost me £20

Oh, and how cute is that power supply.

E-Motion is Sainsbury's Supermarkets own brand.
Looks a lot like the Grundig, Bush and Technika ones I have fixed before, I think they are made by Haier.

Of course. The LVDS cable isn't connected to the main board. Or perhaps the main board isn't connected to the LVDS cable? Hmm...

The Goodmans and Bush used a Chi-Mei.
            The Technika used a Samsung.

If this was yours, what would you sell it for?

Gonna have to let the missus find more tvs with easy fixes like this. When i find them it takes me ages to fix it.

I sold a 24" Bush for £75 and a 22" Goodmans for £35 (had a line stuck on the screen though.)

Aside from the Freeview pause/rewind/record it was full HD, CCFL-backlit, built in Freeview, single HDMI, and had USB support (playback media only.)

                        Hi everyone,

I'm working on an Acer Nitro 5 unit with the following specs:

                        • Model: Acer AN515-55-59MT

                        Initial Issue

The laptop initially presented graphic issues and driver failure (Code 43) for the GPU.

After preventive maintenance (cleaning, thermal paste, etc.), it powered on normally. We disassembled it again to inspect the GPU, reassembled...

                        Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Asus ROG Ally - Super IO Chip replacement
                        by ongobongo
                        Hello everyone,
anyone here who has experience with replacing the super IO chip of an ROG ally?
I have one on my bench which has a burnt super io (ITE 5125VG-192). On some devices the super-io downloads it's firmware from BIOS if it's empty. As i don't have a programmer for this chips i hope someone here has already changed the chip and can give me a hint if it's working with an empty chip if it needs external programming.
                        Thanks
                        Ongo

                        Swap Super I/O Lenovo Ideapad
                        by Paul20
Hi, I would like some advice.
I have two motherboards, one with a dedicated GPU and the super I/O with obvious burn marks on it, and another working motherboard without a dedicated GPU.
My question is: can I swap the super I/O from the motharboard without dedicated GPU to the one with dedicated GPU? Will it work anyway or is that super I/O taken from the motherboard without GPU only good on motherboards without dedicated GPU?
The motherboards are exactly identical even in terms of versions...the only difference concerns the dedicated GPU in one and not in the other.
