Hi everyone, i have a Samsung 46ln46c610. I lost picture on it, but still have the sound. I narrowed it down to the power inverter board. from there i narrowed it down to a capacitor(i think). it is a little gray rectangle that says, 2w 474k. below that it says sic 460s. after both of those, there is a line and then the number 10, over the number 21. i have found that it is labeled cl818 on the board. this is the same amongst other Samsung boards. i found another board not from my tv that had same part labeled under the cl818. reading through the threads i found someone who found the part number as C-AL;1uF,20%,250V,GP,TP,6.3x11,5. where can i find this part!!!!! mouser and digikeydid not have it nor did any of the usual suspects. my feelings are repair shops have to be able to get this right? i have included a picture of it. thanks, Steve

Re: samsung ln46c610
Umm, I am quite knowledgeable. I have replaced several similar capacitors in LCD TVs before. Unfortunately, I do not yet have the ability to measure the spacing beween the leads under a capacitor via my x-ray vision, but I am working on it. (I can do it within 1 inch of the board but not yet over a photo.) I estimate the capacitor to be about three-sevenths thumbwidth across and four-thirds thumbwidth along. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Re: samsung ln46c610
sorry, was not directed towards you tom. you do come across very knowledgeable.... a little to much. am pretty lost looking on mouser. new to the site and did not like the way ratdud4747 answered the post. very negative. i am not gonna give him the pleasure of making me feel stupid. i do like your sense of humor. is that a left or right thumb?!

Ratdude747 moderates this forum; it's his job (although he is unpaid) to make sure the forum stays in order. FAQ forum is for regular questions (e.g. how do I solder, how to attach post, etc.), TV forum is for stuff like this. Have a little more respect for our moderators.
Important thing about thumbwidth is that it depends on which quantum plane you observe it in because it can be either, both or none at the same time. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: samsung ln46c610
respect is earned not given. a simple "hey i see your new here, you posted in the wrong place. i moved it for you" would have put me on my nice apologetic side. not trying to piss people off, but not convinced any one can say yes, go to "blank" they have it. do repair shops fix things or just replace with a new board? i have provided as much info as possible

Re: samsung ln46c610
I suggest you take up any grevances with the administrator, Topcat. But ratdude was just trying to be helpful.
Most repair shops nowadays just swap boards, which is why they cost so much.
I gave you a link to replacement parts did I not?
You have to do some work here and check the dimensions to see if one will fit. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: samsung ln46c610
"i found someone who found the part number as C-AL;1uF,20%,250V,GP,TP,6.3x11,5."
Form the picture (474K = 0.47uf 10% tolerance) that you have posted on post1, that cap is 0.47uF not 1uF.
Are there any printings on the side of the cap at all? It has bulginf from the side, so it is bad cap.
The board looks like SAMSUNG P/N BN44-00341, not sure if Tom has the SCH for it or not.
