Can you do a full in focus picture of the bottom of the board.
On Pic dco6937, Tcon ,near the connector to the main board there is a White fuse with 2A on it. Can you test it?
and if you can get at it when its all connected up can you test the voltage on each side - black lead on ground or connector metal case then probe each side of fuse with the red probe.Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Pic is very good one of the best I have seen for some time.
If you pan along the white line in the middle to the hole
Just below the hole there are 3 resistors and next to them
C902 Just below that there is an odd bit of solder?
May not be doing any harm but can you check it out.Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

OK, leave the TV unplugged.
Put the connector on CN2 back in place.
Do not have the connector plug in to the C6.
Get 1K any wattage will do, connect the resistor between PIN1 (5vstby) and pin3 (BL_ON) of CN6.
Plug the TV into the outlet, hit the power switch, the backlights should come on.Never stop learning

This happened last Saturday and today I finally had time this morning before I went to work to replace two non brand capacitors
I will let you be the judge weather or not these are bad or not according to the blue ESR meter that I am using
I am comparing them to a brand new one that I installed
The display came back on and the programming was not lost which I was surprised by I would have thought that when the display went blank that so did the memory as well
I going to let it run for several days before I remount back on the wall next to the... -
