Re: Factory Resets Listing
For a Hannspree HSG1075 (may work for other models)
To access the factory reset menus-
Using the factory remote:
- Turn TV on
- in quick sucession press input, 0, 2, 3, 6, 3, menu.
- go to initialize in the new menu that opens
- go to recall factory data
- enter
Hope this helps others.

Re: Factory Resets Listing
Can anyone help with how to access the service mode (factory mode) on a Sense 51-42 LCD. It's a cheapo 42 inch tv I'm not sure who makes the chassis I would say it's probably far east, the main board is marked B.TR901C 7355 and seems to be used in a few sets. The digital menu looks familiar, I think I saw similar on a small Kenmark LCD combi. The normal Kenmark methods don't work though.
Can post some pictures if it will help.Leave a comment:

Re: Factory Resets Listing
That's a great idea... having reset codes. But.. Is thus the same as a software update which did help me awhile back making a non working tv work like new.Leave a comment:

You need a factory remote, or one which can operate the TV.Leave a comment:

Re: Factory Resets Listing
This may be a dumb question, but I don't how how else to ask it so...
Is it imperative to have a factory remote to apply a factory reset? or...
Is there a way to accomplish the same thing by opening the set and moving jumpers etc.?

Re: Factory Resets Listing
I will ask on this thread as well if anyone knows any other Vestel codes other than Menu 4725, 7935 and 1325?
I have a feeling the options I need to change may not have a solution that can be done via remote control (recent chassis) most options in regular 4725 menu are read only. If there's no menu option I'm going to have to investigate attaching something to the GPIO to see if I can trace and find the info I want; this is a big learning curve but may be worth it.Leave a comment:

Re: Factory Resets Listing
I've successfully "emulated" the LG service remote codes using some stuff you can download online, it's not ideal but it will get you in there. Google it and you may find it, they basically upload .wav files which when played through an IR LED (from headphone jack of whatever is playing it) issue that command to the TV. As I said it's not ideal, lots of variables (LED, volume level and so on) some just hook an LED to the headphone jack, others build a simple circuit to drive the LED (more reliable), what I did was use an old working remote control with batteries fitted and attached the wav signal to the base of the transistor that drives the LED (s). It did the job, it's ugly, awkward, but I don't need it much.Leave a comment:

Re: Factory Resets Listing
It is my understanding that it is impossible to enter the service menu from the stock remote on any LG TV!
But you really need to provide the model number.Last edited by notallbad; 05-24-2013, 06:25 PM.Leave a comment:

by dxzhowdy yall,
back in this last december i lost my svp for my thinkpad, then i found this technique and it worked successfully.
the only thing i found weird was that now in the bios menu, specifically under the secure boot configuration in the security tab, it went from mentioning microsoft windows 10 to now showing microsoft windows 8 when i scroll over the restore factory keys option.
and im wondering if my current problem is due to the flash/patch ive done:
im having a hard time activating windows 10 pro :lenovo thinkpad e480 that i purchased...-

by Retro140Hello,
So I was referred here when I made this poste over on AVForums: https://www.avsforum.com/threads/loc...lg-tv.3257234/
To summarize, this is a commercial TV and I can't get a menu of any kind. I know the overlay is working because when I change channel, adjust volume, turn on sleep timer I do see text. But I have not ever seen the user menu nor the installers menu. I've tried a bunch of remotes(more info on the AVF post) and tried every button... - Loading...
