    I'm completely lost!

I have to replace a capacitor for my Samsung LN-T3242H but it's a large capacitor, and all the replacements I've seen are no where near the right size but everything else matches.

    It's a Samwha 450 WV 150 microf.

Can I replace it with a much smaller one?

Moved from FAQ, offsite image moved onside and inline.

To answer the Q: If you mean smaller can size, if it fits and is the right kind (esr is close, etc), then you should be fine. Be sure to use quality caps (if BCN has it get your caps there and support the forum).

      Thanks Ratdude

Allen Wr3nch - You have not told us what size the one you are replacing is?
You also need to clean the glue off those blue caps and better check the resistor is ok before you order in case elctrolyte has eaten through it.

After updating motherboard capacitors, what to do next (Asrock K7VT2, SOLTEK SL-75FRN2L)
          by dragon3x
Hi, I have some 32 bits computer motherboards that need repair, as they fail to
          power on.

          Here are some examples :

(N.B. "capacitors" indicated here are electrolytic capacitors located in the onboard
          switching supply area).
          (N.B. #2 : I could not find a 3300 microF aluminum-polymer with a higher voltage
          than 6.3 V.)

1 - Motherboard #1 : this is an Asrock K7VT2 (socket A) that still works well. To put it on test
          I replaced capacitors with aluminum-polymer.
          3300 microF/6.3 V. x 4 replaced by 3300 microF/6.3 V. (KYOCERA...

          HP Probook 650 G4 - Lost power?During AMT de-provision process, now I get blackscreen
          by rive.hafintosh
First here is how things went down.

I entered the bios and began to de-provision Intel AMT - it began with a reboot and then prompted me to de-provision AMT - proceed Y/N -
I pressed Y and hit enter, and I thought the PC shutdown, but perhaps it actually lost power at this point. I had the power adapter plugged in but apparently the plug from the wall came out of the brick when I wasn't noticing so 1 of two things could have happened…
Something went wrong with the process, or it lost power during the process and corrupted something
I tried making a HP recovery...

Dell E6540 laptop completely dead after dssasembly
          by max-power
Hi, I disassemble my laptop to replace the speakers, to access them, you have to remove everything including the heat sink and fan, unscrew the motherboard, lift it up a bit to access the speaker wire.
that was not the first time I dissasemble it, i did replace the same speaker a few year ago and I repaste it last year, so I had nothing to worry about. but when I put everything back together, its completely dead.

After a bit of investigating, i found one pin of the status led ribbon cable that was unglued from the cable and bend touching another pin, I bend it back at his place...
