    LG 37 Inch LCD

Hey Everyone. I just wanted to share this bit of information I accidently learned with an LG 37 Inch tv but have a question as well. Im sure you all know this, but this might help a newbie with the same problem. I picked up this tv for free because the last owner got rid of it because the screen was black. Took it home, powered it on and off several times then opened it up. I found the power supply has some bulged caps so I took the board off. Well when I turned it over i found a scorched and burned resistor (might have the wrong name, the black box with the "legs" as I have come to call them coming off of it.) So my question is, could the fact that I turned it on and off so many times have caused that to burn off like it did, or something else?

Can you show us a picture?
Also what is the model number of the set e.g. 37LC44.

I have worked on the UK chassis of the 37LC2D as well as a similar LG LCD 42LC46.
