Re: Sanyo dp42848. No picture no sound?has anyone found the problem
You need a 24V, 8-10A power supply... if you have one, then provide 24V and connect INV-ON to 5VDC and DIM to 5VDC. [per TOM66]
I guess your friend didn't say anything new?
If you want to test your meter you have a reference with your powersupply for 24v.....at least human error is almost completely ruled out that way.Comment

Your attachments are failing?
Not often Tom gets in a twist.
ok fresh start - check meter ohms 200 touch probes
reading +?
tv connected and all set up powered on
meter on 200vdc black probe on ground screw in corner of power board where it says made in china and the socket CN2
With the red probe test each pin and list the results in a column:
pson =
sgnd =
sgnd =
+5vsb = and so on.
Answer the next part in a new reply post.
Did you test the "Pink" fusible resistors for continuity
Meter on Ohms 200 probe on each end.
Answer the next part in a new reply post.
Did you read the link in post24 problem was very similar and it was on a sanyo
It will show you that even if the fault IS known it cannot Always be fixed - I think in that case the OP cut that bit of the circuit out and used something else.
Also do not refer to a component as a circuit if you do not know what it is ask and/or refer to it as a component. Otherwise it is quite confusing. Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

by doorzonHi all,
hopefully someone on this board has an idea on how to begin with troubleshooting this problem.
The monitor AOC AGON AG273QCG (curved 27" QHD monitor) has problems refreshing every 1 to 2 seconds or so. A line appears in the middle of the screen and the lower half of the screen is shifted to the right.
See attached picture.
I am leaning towards an issue with bad soldering of the graphics chip, because the problem used to go away after some time (minutes) but now it is here to stay.
However, this could also be related...-

by Tr0llHi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.
The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.
Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.
First replacement T-con:
I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)... -
by retrorepairHello gurus, hope you can assist me...
I have a Sony KDL.40P3600, with an issue on the left side of the screen (pictures attached).
I think the problem is the panel, but before send it to trash, i would like to get a second opinion.
Thanks in advance.2 Photos -
by KYBOSHHello all
I pick this up free as a repair project for the holidays.
The original symptom was power cycling after 3-4 seconds with a single red light flash.
To remedy this I went through and unplugged each component 1x1 and discovered that when the FFC cables were disconnected the backlights stayed on and the TV did not reboot.
I tried remove one or the other to see which side of the display was causing the issue (expecting to see half a picture to show) but didn't see anything. But the boot loop only appears when the top FFC cable (right side... -
