The CPU is not getting power then. It might be because the converter is off or because the converter is faulty. But this could be because it's in standby.

we got it to light up! It must've been stuck in standby. I feel stupid. originally had plugged and unplugged, tried to power up from console button, etc. and moved on to the bad caps idea since we heard a 'pop'. But now decided to search the forums again for getting out of standby; then went through the plugging and unplugging again. It came on! so I will close it up, and put it away for now. But I was here when it went out. I heard the pop too. what could've that been?

Probably the speakers -- very common for them to move suddenly on rapid power down creating an audible pop.

Hi, Folks,
I had the same issue, amber light only black screen, no visible capacitors damage or blown fuses I flip the power board upside down still not finding any bad fuse or cap, maybe one of you expert here will guide me on how to troubleshoot step by step ? I will attached as much picture as I can hopefully someone would spot the faulty hardware, thanks in advance..

Hi, Folks,
I had the same issue, amber light only black screen, no visible capacitors damage or blown fuses I flip the power board upside down still not finding any bad fuse or cap, maybe one of you expert here will guide me on how to troubleshoot step by step ? I will attached as much picture as I can hopefully someone would spot the faulty hardware, thanks in advance..

bought a power supply on Ebay still orange light and would not turn on.... please help.
