What would be the best low ESR capacitors to use in an LCD TV PSU? What would I be looking for in the datasheet as in ESR, impedance, frequency? Or can someone recommend some tried and tested reliable ones that I can just install, without having to worry about all the technical stuff?

Re: Low ESR PSU Caps advice
I myself use PANASONIC FM series from Digikey, you can also use FR series. Just match the value, voltage, dimension to the original. Use them for many, many, many years in lots of products (http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/)Never stop learning

Re: Low ESR PSU Caps advice
Rubycon ZL_, Nichicon HD, and Chemi-con KZE can also be good options if you can't find a panny in a particular size.I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!
No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

Re: Low ESR PSU Caps advice
Thanks for the advice fellas but these are going to be used for the 2 main caps on a SMPS,I should have mentioned that before, is there a particular ohm rating I should be looking for, like some of them are 1.3 ohms,1.8 ohms ect...I want these to last a fair while.HP P6-2203a desktop,AMD CPU A8-5500 with Radeon HD7560D,3.20Ghz. The impedance is not that important for capacitors running at high voltage, in the mains section.HP P6-2203a desktop,AMD CPU A8-5500 with Radeon HD7560D,3.20Ghz. Radeon HD 6670.8Gb Ram.2TB HDD. WIN 10 64 bit O/S.
