    Sharp Aquos LC-32gp1u

    Hello guys,

I'm having an issue with my Sharp Aquos. When It powers up right side of the LCD is distorted. It kind of looks like this:

The only difference is that on My TV the distortion is the whole right half.
After turning off the display repeatedly and waiting for the relays to click the TV will eventually work but that can take up to 30 minutes. Also once the TV does Turn on properly it does not have any issues.

I do not think it is related to the relay problem, relay cannot make part of the screen to be bad. I would try reseating the ribbon cables between the main baord and the T-CON board first.

Thanks for the advice I'll check it out when I get home from work. My only concern is that this is only an issue when I first turn on the TV for the day.
Normally I'll get up turn on the TV and the right 1/2 will be distorted. After powering it up 10 to 20 times the distortion will be gone and the TV works fine for the rest of the day. The issue only happens if the TV has been off for many hours. It seems like my TV needs to warm up and that's whats throwing me off. A cable or ribbon issue would make this happen randomly and not just on a cold boot. Think it could be the T-CON board or something else ?

You can also try cooling the T-CON board after warm up to see if the problem occur, or warm up the T-CON board with hair dryer before turning the TV on.

Segalus, I have the exact same model with the same issue. I'm curious to know if any of budm or tom66's solutions worked for you.
