It definitely seems bad and maybe that's the cause of the problem but I sure hope it hasn't damaged anything! The crappy self-oscillating power supply could cause this I suppose. OK here's a simple test which will be go/no go on your meter's accuracy. CAREFULLY check voltage across CN602 - it's the red/black running from PSU to inverter. It should be around 165V. Something is very, very wrong. You are living in a 115V/120V country right? That should be at 1.41 * line voltage or around 162V. I am very suspicious of your meter right now - it just doesn't seem right. Can you please swap the battery, just in case. How old is the meter, and has it ever been subject to an overload on the voltage ranges? Right now, your meter seems to indicate your line voltage is about 235V. It is possible it is just inaccurate on the DC voltage range, as measuring AC voltage is different. BTW, which meter is it? I don't think I ever asked.Please do not PM me with questions! tom black and white power plug going into tv reads 118, when I go to black n red at CN602 it reads 334v, I have switched batteries and meter is only a few months old...as far as overload wouldn't it give me incorrect readings on most readings because it seems to be correct on all other test?Comment

This may be a d'oh moment for myself. Are you testing across the red and black, or from one lead to chassis? It should be across red and black. You have tested a new AA battery? Yes I'm reading all wires directly to both probes but on those connections it reads that high, but on walls and batteries they are within the correct rangesComment

Just need to be certain, it really doesn't seem right. 118V would be rectified to 167V; that's how a rectifier works. There is no PFC boosting circuit in this TV that could cause it to increase like that. It must be the meter, but I don't know why! Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!
My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... -
Another TV topic!!
I got this sharp TV that when I first plugged it in it showed the sharp logo and then went to the input screen. This was about 30 seconds and then it showed white screen. Now I can't see anything but white screen. This has a separate TCON and Main.
The TCON is getting 12V and several parts are as well but the VGH line is only .5Volts which I thought is totally incorrect.
Am I on the correct assumption that the TCON is bad somehow if I'm only getting that voltage or is there something else I should check?... -

I have a Dell G15 ryzen edition (ryzen 5) that turns on but won't post, black screen, keyboard lights on, caps lock led on, fans turns and the battery indicating light is showing 2amber and 1 white according to dell website it's a cpu failure, but i tried few basic things before i open it up i tested the screen by pressing the d button before powering it up but it didn't show anything i tried the ctrl+esc for bios recovery but still black screen i tried refreshing the screen, i plugged it on an external monitor but same thing. Next step i unplugged the battery and kept pressing the... -
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!!
what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol! 
i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...
