Man - its a miracle it switches on!! I missed these pics when I went for the fuse.Did think about water in via the cable as tuner box it goes into looked rusty.

We are going to need more members to look at this as I am not sure how to proceed.
First thing is to get clear close pics as possible of each corroded area.
Then try and clean the corrosion off - my first instincts would be WD40 and a fine
toothbrush but I dont know about the wd40 - perhaps IPA would be better?
Once it is clean then retake the photos - you need the first ones in case any bits drop off!! We can try but suspect a replacement board will be the answer.
What are the other boards like underneath.

Forgot to answer, the other boards don't appear to have gotten wet. Possibly the power board but I don't think there is anything to see on the underside is there?

We dont know thats why we need a picture and also of the inverter board if there is one

I guess I should also include that I have 2 blinks after the set turns off.

So I flipped the power board as per Selldoors request to get a pic and figured I'd check out a few of the diodes for integrity and what do you know I found a bad one!

Selldoor, thanks for being patient with me. I'm trying to learn as I go but I am easily distracted.

So included are a pic of the inverter board, backside of power board and a close-up of the offending diode. Now, how the heck am I supposed to fix this tiny little diode and how will I figure out what direction to put it in?

Pulled and tested the diode off the board and it tested fine. I replaced it anyways and I still have the same problem. Can anyone enlighten me as to what makes a diode test bad in circuit?
