Re: Vizo VW46LFHDTV10A want turn on
I have a VW46L with similar problem...I will follow along and help where possible and perhaps we can get both of our TVs up and running. I had put this one on the shelf while I worked on a couple of others so I will pull it out again. The first thing that will be asked for are pictures, 2000 x 2000 pixels or so that show plenty of detail and any observations of heat/damage/burn marks, etc. Also, any voltage readings or other tests that you have done to begin to narrow down the issue. Let's kick some tail on this one! I have a service manual but it doesn't include some important sections. It only has chapters 1-3 and 9. I need to check the site here and see if there is now a full cover to cover service manual download.Last edited by DakotaKid; 08-28-2012, 08:45 PM. -
Re: Vizo VW46LFHDTV10A want turn on
Please post GOOD CLEAR AND FOCUSED pictures of both sides of the power supply board, closed up pictures of the connectors (power supply) so we can read the labels/markings. The whole back side of the TV so we can see how all the boards are connected together.
Right now you may not have the PS_ON signal from the main board to turn on the main power supply sections.Never stop learning

Re: Vizo VW46LFHDTV10A want turn on
i have seen two of these in the 42" versions with bad solder joints at the power connector. dont know if they use the same psor not but might be worth a look to see if you have a bad connection on the back of the board where the pins go through.Comment

Re: Vizo VW46LFHDTV10A want turn on
Well, I cannot read any labels on the connectors of the power supply to see what the pins are, way out of focus.
We are trying to troubleshoot the problem without having the boards in front of us, so good clear pictures are a must. I cannot help you much at this point since I cannot tell you where to test the voltages.Never stop learning

Re: Vizo VW46LFHDTV10A want turn on
Pictures are not much better perhaps the second one will be clear enough for Budm
In the first one have you tested the fuses?
Have you checked the mains input pins as suggested by awyatt2Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Re: Vizo VW46LFHDTV10A want turn on
Ok - In Pic 2 the end pin is marked on/off - with it all connected up can you plug it in but do not press power on and see if there is any voltage on that end pin. Set meter on 20vDC and put black probe on an earth screw and use the red to test on the pin. Actually you may as well do the whole connector list the results as:
Pin Name Actual
1 on/off 2.13v
2 12v 9.65v and so on.
Then do the test again after you press the power on button.
Then switch it off
You may need a helper for the next test. Again you have to measure pin one
same as before but hold the probes on the pin and ground and observe what happens when the power on is pressed. Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Re: Vizo VW46LFHDTV10A want turn on
Check your voltage regulators on the main board. See my sig file below on how to test and report the readings in the specified format.--- begin sig file ---
If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.
We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.
Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

by howardc64All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
- TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
- Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

by brzostosHello, HP laptop model 15-EU0005NA. It does not turn on, 1 in 100 manages to turn it on then after a while it freezes/disappears/flashes, etc.
After removing the motherboard and connecting the board with RAM to the power supply, I noticed that at first all voltages start correctly and after a few seconds 3.3V on the PL4501 coil disappears and somewhere in this area something starts beeping on the board, sometimes after touching it with a finger in the area of PL4551 it stops beeping and 3.3V appears again.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by m1ch43lzmHi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't

by HakuuHi There,
This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.
After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.
