    65 Olevia works intermittently

    I have an Olevia 265tfhd type 11.

Sometimes it will work great, other times when you turn it on you get a blank screen. I can access the Service Mode just fine and I even updated the firmware just in case. I've visually checked all the caps and none show any signs of failing.

When it works I can cycle it on and off with no issues cold or hot. If I leave it on when it works it will run just fine for hours on end. I will post pictures shortly.

Unplug clean and reseat ALL removable connectors.
Just in case you struggle with the pics
    Welcome to the forum-
We can help a lot more if you please post good clear pictures of the whole chassis, and then pictures of each board, front and back and close up of connectors, (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) using the manage attachments button, which is found by clicking "go advanced" under quick reply.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

It will be useful if you can say a bit about yourself - skills tools etc.

      Here's the pictures.

A little about me: I've worked on electronics to include cell phones, computers, etc since I was a child. I can fix everything from a busted cinder block to HVAC, Squeaky door to a blown head gasket. I have an EMM for each workshop and truck.

        Re: 65 Olevia works intermittently

EMM in above post is a typo should be DMM.

Update: I checked out the power supply caps and they all tested within acceptable range. I have 2 caps on my Main board that are showing some funky numbers they are 35v 1000uf caps, one of them draws down my DMM power when I try to ohm it. I also swapped the two power supplies around and had no success.

In the past I have noticed a sizzling or static noise from the main power supply area when the TV would start up and function. Since I've had the back off I cannot get it to function properly so I can track down the noise. All I get when I press the power button is the click of the Relay on the main PS and an energizing noise from the Tcon board which lasts about 1 second.

          *update*
It is no longer Intermittent, it now does not function at all. I replaced a couple questionable Caps today with no results. I am no longer able to get the TV into Service mode either.

          Steps I have taken:
          * Clean and reset all connectors
          * Replace questionable Caps

Check again using your pictures that you have ALL the cables re connected (it does happen believe me) Also if speakers are disconnected re connect as someone has said recently that some sets go into error mode if none detected.
Check there is an earth screw on each board that is in contact with the frame

This is the first time I have seen a set with twin power supplies - the pictures are not really clear enough for troubleshooting

Did you ever figure out what was wrong with this TV? I have the exact same problem.....But mine does not work at all. I found this video on YouTube that shows a guy fixing a smaller Olevia that seems to have the same problem. It was two capacitors that was on a board, but I don't know what the board is or what it is called. It is not the power supplies. Here is the video "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ab5_fupl_aw" (by the way, this is NOT a scam to get people to watch a youtube video) If someone could help me I would greatly appreciate it.

              Thanks, Steve

Where did you find the firmware of an Olevia. I have searched everywhere I know to look and cannot find it for an Olevia Model 237-t11. Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

I have a customer machine on my bench right now that's stumped all the techs, so I decided to come here for help.

                  The specs are:
                  MPG Z590 Gaming Carbon Wi-Fi (MS-7D06)
                  Intel core i9-10900kf

BIOS ver is E7D06IMS.1B0, from 6/12/2023

The machine was brought in because it would not POST after a GPU upgrade from a GTX 1030 to an RTX 3070. The customer also brought in the original GTX 1030, as well as a GTX 1060 that the machine also wouldn't POST with.
I tested the 1060 and 3070 on my bench (ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming...

I have this TV set that I spent a long time fixing it.
I finally found a shorted SMD capacitor near the plug from the PS at the main board. It was shorting one of the main voltages (can't remember which one)
I removed that capacitor, and as it has another one in parallel, I left it with only one, checked it and it seemed to work fine. The solder near that capacitor was really delicate as I pulled apart one trace so I prefered to not mess much with it after I had to air solder one small thread of copper

I didn't use that TV much at that time. Now that I'm using it,...

                  Hi There!
I'm trying to help my friend who owns a restaurant be just bought.
He has a very long LED strip running along all the walls and columns. The strip is attached facing down 2in above the floor, using a wall panel that ends in a metal rail that finishes the panel underneath
It's stuck using, I guess, the 2 sided tape that comes with the strip
The issue is that like 1/2 of the full length, including 1/2 one wall, another entire wall, and one column, flickers after 4 or 5 minutes ON. Particularly it flashes staying OFF most of the time and flashing ON for 1 tenth...

Dell ATX PSU won’t start, but forcing it works fine?

Got a case of something new weird at work. There is an old 2nd gen Intel i3 in an old “Pizza box” shell that has a small form factor power supply. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures and model number off it.

Anyway, I get to work and get to look at this computer. Standby LED on the PSU is on, but the computer won't start. Hmm o.k. take the battery out of the main board try again, nothing. O.k. then… unplug the power supply from the main board and put in a full size ATX PSU (yeeeesss! Exact that blown Powerman IP that I fixed a while back), plug it in and the old...
