how long is a piece of string?need more info,what have you tested,what do you have to test with?looks like a plasma by the model code,i dont do plasmas,some on here do,put up a bit more information first.

It's SAMSUNG plasma

It works normaly, then i wanted to TURN ON again and red power LED started to blinking every second and TV wouldn't turn on anymore.

I've already disassembled it. I've attached the pictures:

Are there any BAD CAPS???

We can help a lot more if you please post good clear pictures of the whole chassis, and then pictures of each board, front and back and close up of connectors, (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) using the manage attachments button, which is found by clicking "go advanced" under quick reply.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.


It will be useful if you can say what the supposed fault was and a bit about yourself - skills tools etc. Do you have a multimeter and soldering equipment.

The two small caps at the bottom look bulged to me and one at the top looks odd but the flash has washed it out so cant tell

The one at the top is OK, it's just bad angle and flash.
The 2 caps bellow are on IMG117.jpg and also looks bad to me. Uploaded 4 more pics of these caps. One is definitely leaking other one looks close to it.
I've got good soldering skills and i can borrow multimeter. How can I really find out if these caps are bad or OK?

Those are definitely bad. They look like Samwha caps - a bad manufacturer, I've replaced too many of those. I think the count is 23 now over two LCDs and two plasmas (both LG or Samsung - the only companies that seem to use these crappy caps.)

You should replace them with caps such as Panasonic FC/FM/FR, Rubycon ZLJ/ZLH, Nichicon HD... do NOT use general purpose caps.

Ok Samwha caps are not very good - closely check others on the board we would normally recommend changing any of the same make and series.
How is it in Slovakia for getting replacements - general purpose caps are not really suitable for this application and you should try and get some with low esr (obviously same voltage and capacitance.) At a minimum get some with 105 degree temperature marking.

What parameters should be the new caps? Same 10V, 2200 uF, 105 C? what does it mean LOW ESR? can u put some google image of good caps?

Are all good makes if you go to Digikey.com you can get details.
You may not be able to get them in Slovakia or the price may be prohibitive.
If you have a local electronics shop you will have to ask if they have any
low esr caps. - There are many threads about it on this site use the search
facility above

I've looked at DIGIKEY for capacitators I need, but they all are GENERAL PURPOSE, what purpose they should be?

Hi - yes its a bit confusing digikey only designate panasonic FC FM & FR
as general purpose but you can ignore that - threw me for a while - if you want to post the digikey part nos we can say if they are ok.

Samxon are okay, depending on series - what series Samxon were they?

there is printed on it : KM(M), A5C, 105°C 8

Don't use them, they are general purpose caps. You have already, but don't be surprised if you have to open the TV up in a year's time to replace them.
