    Neon C3298DVB stuck in standby

Hi guys n gals..been a while since last on site..ive bought this set cheap hoping for just bad caps..upon inspection alls good inside..the psu is giving the correct voltages so started searching on net for info.

This brand of tv is also made by CELLO..after much searching there seems to be many known cases of the eprom being corrupt.

The main board is BOARD No: CV109H V2.1 & the eprom is IC REF: U6...25X32VSIG..0932

I have no knowledge or equipment in programming & flashing etc..i was hoping it was just caps that need replacing..so im hoping you guys might point me in the right direction..thx

Re: Neon C3298DVB stuck in standby

What is the model of the main board?

Have you tried the pin 5/6 shorting trick which works on Samsung TVs?

just use a watch flat screwdriver, short the pins together ,then power on the tv, pull the screwdriver out ,i think ive got the BIN file for cello tvs somewhere if you get a programmer
fixed so far...376 lg lcd tv's,24 onn tv;s,24 panasonic lcd,16 jvc lcd,12 marshall jcm800 amps, refurb of various disco equipment lighting, old style disco decks ,and a flymo!

I have a little board I made up for programming EEPROMs (uses a PICkit 2) - so if you need a programmed EEPROM (SMD or through hole), let me know. Multimeter, do mind sending me that .BIN; I could upload it?

on the eeprom chip you will see a hollow dot on it,count the pins around anti clockwise until you get to pins 5 and 6 (where the dot is thats pin 1)

no,you done it right,on these eeproms there storage is very weak, any little power outage/surge will corrupt the eeprom,it will proberly be a case of re/writing the eeprom, you can get the blank 24c/25c winbond eeproms fairly easily, they normally have SIG written on there part number.

and one thing, some watch screwdrivers have a black coating on them, make sure that you use one with a clean bare metal blade or it wont make the correct contact with pins 5/6

not sure on the service menu there can be lots of different codes and orders that have to be enterd.

im sure there is a service code but i dont know that one sorry, someone may pick up on this thread and chime in hopefully.

                                          Hello

I have an TV Led 4K Selecline 65s18 with mainboard T.MS3458.U801

The TV is faulty with stuck in Standby RED LED. Can't power the TV.

Before this problem , the TV stuck the picture with artefact , i unplug the AC cable and since the tv is stuck in standby .

All voltage are OK on PSU and main board for regulator. I tried flash firmware 25Q64 with many dumps

But the voltage on power button is 0.6V not 3.3V. When i press power button the voltage up to 0V. I tried to add 5V with Power Supply on 5V_STB and 3.3V on Power...

Hi. I have the following problem with my TV. After connecting to mains, the standby led (red) turns on, but TV is not responding to remote control or buttons on TV. After some measurements, I found out that +5 V standby voltage is present, but I dont have ON/OFF signal coming in to turn PSU on. It stays at zero volts. After looking at the schematic of the mainboard, I should get ON/OFF signal coming in at the R1402 resistor, but it stays around +3,5 V. So I removed it and I was able to turn on TV with buttons on TV, but not with remote control.

What could be the problem ? Thanks...

Hi techs, I have a Samsung ua39eh5003r which switches on and then goes to standby. I have to wait for a day or two for the tv to switch on again, all the time it is stuck on standby. I have checked the voltages on the power supply board on both occasions when it is on and off and these are my findings:

                                          Connector CNM803:
                                          TV ON
                                          Pin1,3,4,5(Vamp),7(Vamp)- 12.6V; Pin2(PWM_DIM)- 0.96v; Pin6(BLU_ON/OFF)- 4.41v; Pin8,9,10- grnd; Pin11,12,13- 5.16v; Pin14(Power ON/OFF)- 3.3v

                                          TV OFF
                                          Pin1,3,4,5(Vamp),7(Vamp)- 12.6V; Pin2(PWM_DIM)- 0.06v; Pin6(BLU_ON/OFF)-...

When the Main board is disconnected, the back lights are off but tapping on the chassis makes them light up and all voltages are then good. Connecting the main board up makes the TV work normally until moved. LED INERFACE STRIP BN41-01971A has a short on the first 2 pins on the left of the picture, the cable tests good. All the other pins and all LED strips test good. Is there an easy way to fix the short or do I need a new interface. Any help would welcome.
