        Tom how did you know that this is a 17MB35? Did you just recognise it? Have ordered one on ebay model specific but could have paid a lot less.Could not see those numbers anywhere on the board.

          Far, far too much experience with shitty Vestel TVs

          They are model specific, but they can be programmed easily. Worst case you usually get a wrong colour image due to panel settings being wrong; you can use 4725-MENU (on remote) to access service menu and reprogram it.

            Ok update on this one.Just fitted replacement main board and the symptoms are just the same.I suppose its the power supply then.

              Fitted replacement power board and set is now working.I think the clue to this one all along was the fact that the power supply would run without the main board connected.Hope this helps anyone else who has this fault.
