Re: Sharp LC-32GA6E Stuck in standby
Does the relay in the PSU make clicking noises? If so there might be a short circuit which could be preventing the power supply from starting up.
Try un-plugging the inverter boards. If the set turns on ok (won't have any backlight thought), one of the inverter boards has a fault. If not, then there is a problem on either the PSU, the A/V board or t-con.Muh-soggy-knee -
Re: Sharp LC-32GA6E Stuck in standby
Hi- Pic s are a bit better this time. Cant spot anything adrift.
There are 3 red barrel fuses on the power board - should be ok
but perhaps you can check them. Cant see any on the inverter board
but there are components labelled FL which I think may mean they are fusible links. I can see 2 but may be more. You can check them as if it were a fuse.
Next time it is on record exactly how many times each light flashes
and if there is a sequence - it may be an error code. Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

And how do you find error codes??? I don't have ANY luck finding them on the web...Muh-soggy-kneeComment

Re: Sharp LC-32GA6E Stuck in standby
you need to be checking output voltages on the psu,is there a standby voltage? ,most prob marked 5V-STB or 3.3V-STB ? if it is missing then the tv wont power up.
its either a shaky camera hand or dodgy light, but just too the right of the large wiring harness ,there looks to be a cap that looks bulged?fixed so far...376 lg lcd tv's,24 onn tv;s,24 panasonic lcd,16 jvc lcd,12 marshall jcm800 amps, refurb of various disco equipment lighting, old style disco decks ,and a flymo!

Re: Sharp LC-32GA6E Stuck in standby
Good and bad news, finally got the tv too come on, was on for like 5 mins then heard a clicking soumd then tv when off, on the front the OPC led is on now?
Ive turn the tv off for 5mins the OPC led on front panel has gone off now.
I notice before a click sound then the backlights came on.Comment

Re: Sharp LC-32GA6E Stuck in standby
OPC is related to the on power timer, you can usually change this setting in the user menu, most likely it was set to a 5 minute sleep timer if not receiving any video input. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Sharp LC-32GA6E Stuck in standby
Sorry tom66, when i say 5mins just figure of speech, basically i left it for a few mins.
the OPC has gone off, the tv didnt turn on.
Now i just left it for a bit longer then i heard the click backlights are on now.
Didnt touch it, then few mins later heard the click backlights go off?
On a closer inspection maybe trival but 1 cap looks suspect, the bottom seems like its sticking out or bottoming out?, 25v 330uf (c291).
Sorry for the delay in replying, how to reboot updating GFX drivers.Comment

Re: Sharp LC-32GA6E Stuck in standby
Have you actually tried feeding a signal into it? Many TVs will shut down after a minute or so with no signal. Random shut downs would usually point to cold joints. Bad caps rarely cause random shut downs and Sharp use very good caps in their own TVs (of course, not in the cheap rebranded ones, but this is a genuine Sharp.)Please do not PM me with questions! Re: Sharp LC-32GA6E Stuck in standby
Thought i had solved the problem, had a few mixed results, unplugged tv left for few minutes, tv came back on but only for a minute or so. That was sunday morning tried and tried still didnt come back on, led to the front is solid green, it dont go into standby mode which the led to front should be red.
Tried yesday monday tv still didnt work, so today i tried go more indepth.
On the back of the PSU Board theirs 2 diodes (D770) (D760)(i think their diodes label as D*** in clear glass type with red stripes) probes correct way give me .145 also if i reverse probes on (D770) readings kinda races up to "OL"
On the D760 diode probes correct way gives me .145, reverse it stops on 1.646.Comment

Hello, I'm new to this forum. I like to tinker with Sony electronics, I have been lucky trouble shooting sony stuff, But I can't find much info on this Sharp TV.
The problem; plug to power>white led power indicator light is on>it turns on to the red Sharp logo>
then the android logo is displayed, lit fine then the android logo brightness varies, then lit normal, then the tv restarts and does the same startup logos over and over for 5 times then it turns off and the power indicator light flashes the trouble code 3 long blinks plus 3 short blinks .

by Egidio85hi, I have a sharp tv model LC-40LE814E with DPS-126CP-1 A power supply.
the tv initially turned on, displayed the image for 10 seconds and then turned off. so in a loop until the power was cut off.
reading the classic optocoupler problem I changed the mounted cosmos with SHARP PC817 recovered from other boards.
now the TV turns on for 1-2 seconds and turns off giving 2 flashes in the front LED.
to avoid banging too much I preferred to take an identical tested and working card (or so the supplier says)

I enclose the psu diagram, after the first routine checks I find myself with a regular standby voltage of 3.3v blue light on steady when the power button is pressed nothing happens, psu disassembled and bench checked ... forced ignition by sending a signal 3 , 3v on the SW and PWM2 pins the psu turns on and delivers all the voltages... -
by lego1234567Hi. I have the following problem with my TV. After connecting to mains, the standby led (red) turns on, but TV is not responding to remote control or buttons on TV. After some measurements, I found out that +5 V standby voltage is present, but I dont have ON/OFF signal coming in to turn PSU on. It stays at zero volts. After looking at the schematic of the mainboard, I should get ON/OFF signal coming in at the R1402 resistor, but it stays around +3,5 V. So I removed it and I was able to turn on TV with buttons on TV, but not with remote control.
What could be the problem ? Thanks...2 Photos01-21-2024, 03:39 AM - Loading...
