    Hi Tmcw,

could you please post a picture or give the name of the capacitors you have changed to solve the sound issue?

    Thanks ad regards.

Re: LG 32LC2D-EC - NO SOUND (and other issues)

I never pinpointed exactly which capacitors were needed to fix the sound, all I know is that repairing the 6V line fixed it. As I remember, I ended up replacing all caps near the connectors, except the 2 big 3300uF caps. This fixed the sound, and analogue and digital tuner issues.

As I remember, some of the caps that I didn't think were associated with the 6V line, when I changed them, the 6V was eventually repaired. In the absence of a schematics, for someone like me (amateur learner at best), it's not always easy to decipher the circuits.

Best bet is to shotgun-replace all in that area (except the 2 big 3300uFs). There are only 6 (if your picture is fine, you don't need to change the 4 caps associated with the inverter), so get good replacements, set aside an hour or two, and replace them. I've attached an edited photo from the first post of the relevant caps, the ones with the red X on them.

My set is still going strong about a year on. Good luck!

I'm having the same issues as this

I changed all 12 caps but didn't fix the faults

Also I only have 3 LEDs lit on the main board

What voltages are you getting on the 3 connectors, as per post #1?

            P201:
            3.4V - 2V
            6V - 6.2V
            DIM -mv
            5V - 5.1V
            BRI - mv
            ERR - mV
            I(?) - 4.9V
            5V - 5.1V
            ON - 3.2V
            ACD - 5.1V

            P202:
            12V - 11.85V
            3.4V - 1.3V
            6V - 6.1
            19V - 19.15V
            19V - 19.15V

            P203:
            12V - 11.85V
            12V - 11.85V
            6V - 6.2v
            6V - 6.2v
            3.4V - 1.3v
            3.4V - 1.3v

Looks like I have the 3.4v line is very low
And dim and bri I don't knows what they are but they seem low compared to the original posts

All the caps in this are new

            Thanks in advance

Sorry to bring this back from the dead but your voltages are almost identical to mine with same problems. Did you ever figure out the issue at hand? What was the fix?
