Re: Samsung LN-46A530 issues with HDMI

So I made the change, I managed to solder all the connectors.
Unfortunately I can't make the HDMI3 (side port) to work.
It shows up in the active ports list, but I can't get signal from it.
There are some settings that should be enabled in the service menu?
I have tried switching from 52 to 46, from A550 to A530 and side inputs from 52 to 46. Did not change a thing.
I'm trying the remote port or the onboard port and I can't get signal from the HDMI3 port.
I'm checking the firmware and it's the 1007 and 1008 version, which is non existent for the 52" model. The latest is the 1005 and 1006.
It could be the wrong firmware? Which models firmware should I use?
    Any help would be appreciated.

Nobody has any experience with this kind of problem?
I have checked the USB(service) port also and it's not recognized either.
I could understand that the remote ports are not working, but why the onboards connectors are not working either?
      Just to recap, I have installed a 52" Samsung mainboard(LN-52A550) in a 46" Samsung TV(LN-46A530).
The boards are very similar, even the part number is almost the same.
The only difference between boards are the side ports on the 52" are on the board itself and on the 46" are remote mounted with a cable(LVDS type).
Logically, if I would use the onboards side ports they should work, no?
The HDMI3(side port) it's recognized in the list as an active port, but not getting any signal, no video or audio.
In the service menu, I can change the TV type to A530 and screen size to 46ac and the side ports to 46 or 37/40/52. These settings don't seem to make any difference.

Re: Samsung LN-46A530 issues with HDMI

Somehow I played with the settings in the service menu and managed to revive the side ports which are mounted on the mainboard, but these are far from the side of the TV.
What I will do, I will improvise. I won't use the original side ports, instead I will use couplers for HDMI and S video and run cables for these between the mainboard and couplers. The couplers will be the side inputs, which I will epoxy to the original side port board, course after I remove the original input ports.
I will have to run RCA and headphone cables too, but these I will have to solder there.
Who will see this in the future will most likely be very surprised, but since I have this board from a 52", I won't be spending $100 for another board.

          Samsung LN52A550 with HDMI issues
          by BretCraytor
This Samsung TV, does fine with no input connected, but when I place my fire stick in the HDMI, it works briefly then starts making a screaching noise and the screen messes up with vertical lines. sometimes when this happens, it will start power cycling, going thru POST, and still screach and have scrambled picture.

I replaced a bad cap on SMPS board, but the best I can tell, the Power board is with right voltages. Can someone lead me to where I need to look next? main board? Surely seems like it may be the input selector or something, but I don't know what chips that might be...

Samsung UN50MU6070FXZA - HDMI Ports Not Working
          by grimacelord
Hello. Samsung UN50MU6070FXZA here with both HDMI ports non-working. I have already verified multiple sources and multiple cables to ensure it isn't something simple like that as well as resets and software updates.

I took the mainboard out and gave it a look. Nothing looks bad or burned. All of the HDMI pins are nice, none are broken at their pads either.

Following the traces, it looks like both HDMI ports trace back to the main CPU which does seem to get hotter than I think it should despite it's (rather poor) heatsink.

          Since the HDMI controller appears...

          Pioneer lx 701 hdmi issues
          by Servicem4
My receiver pioneer LX 701 doesn't work anymore correctly The history:
6 month ago hdmi picture output didnt work anymore but music input through hdmi still worked.

Since some weeks even this doesn't work. Right Before this occured i heard a plopping noise from the receiver one evening.

The rest of the receiver works, I used spdif for sound input.

I now opened the receiver and hoped to find a blown fuse but all look good.

Any tips how to progress? Between 2 PCB there is something which looks like a blown cap....
