    Lg 37lc55

    Hi All
I have had a couple of the same model giving the same sympton on
    LG 37LC55.
When switched on you get no picture, If the LCD is left on for say 15minutes and then the mains cable is unplugged and reinserted then it works perfectly well. I have looked at the caps on the power board and they are not bubbled/dry.
Any ideas, anything I can try?
    Thanks

Bad cap can look normal but it can have high ESR. What you can do is this, heat up the power supply board with hair dryer, then pug in the TV and see if it will come on. ESR will go down when cap is heated up. It sure sounds like bad caps to me.

The LG 37LC46, 37LC55, 42LC46 and 42LC55 are prone to four bad caps on the PSU going bad. More Samwha WBs.

            hi all
The fault has developed further, now I can see in the back, when switched on the hv lights up, after about 10 mins the hv lights strobe/flash and then goes back to normal.
I have replaced the PSU board from my mates LG (same model) and it was the same, so I changed the main board and the fault travelled with the board. so the fault is on the main processing board, any ideas?

Pictures top and bottom of your main board might help.
Did you try the hairdryer trick on the main board.
Please can you update your profile with country and mains voltage.
I will attach instructions for pictures.
              Welcome to the forum-

thinkpad t460 - only charges when battery reinserted
                by rediii
                hello, the following problem:

the thinkpad would charge after reinserting the battery after charger is plugged. however, also when the adapter is installed and the battery is removed and reinserted. charging occurs adaptive (no steady 12 v on pl101/pr110).

i have checked all mosfets (they appear to be fine), all resistors, diodes and fuses on the circuit lines as well as replaced the charger ic twice as well as pq101 and pq102. i have also tried two original batteries (the device came with external battery only) and power supplies (65 and 90 w, which are also correctly...

Brother HL-2140 laser printer: printer error (solved)
                by Curious808
SOLVED. I removed the printer in settings, replugged and let it reinstall and it worked this time.

                Brother HL-2140 laser printer
                Windows 10

Attempt to print and immediately get a Windows pop-up saying "Error printing". The document appears in the printer queue window with Status "Error-printing".

Turned off printer. Unplugged, waited, replugged. Ran the Windows troubleshooter. Removed and reinserted toner cartridge. Checked for paper jam. No printer error lights. Reinstalled driver. Restarted the Spooler service. Rebooted...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
                by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

                imac 21.5 820-3126-A 2011 dont power on
                by SAFC
The device was brought to me after self-cleaning. After replacing the thermal interfaces, the iMac stopped turning on. While the client was rummaging around in it, he touched the power supply with the processor radiator, after which there was a bang.

I examined the power supply, replaced the burnt-out Zener diode ZD36 and the PWM controller DAP017. Now there are standby 12 and 4 volts

When connecting the board to the power supply, autostart occurs, only LED 501 lights up. The cooler starts to rotate, after half a second it stops and so on in a circle. For these half a...

iPad 5th gen (A1823) - No charge but recognized by finder
                by Carl0s-
                Hi,

Sooo - our IT got a pile of old iPads that the sales guys have been mistreating. These are free for grabs if you want to try to get one working. Thought I'd give it a try - if I get at least some life to I can give to my kid to entertain during a car rides.

But the iPad it self - its a 5th gen cellular model. When I initially plug it in it was completely dead. It was not recognized by my Mac nor it started to charge. Disassembled it opened up the battery connector and checked the battery voltage. My multimeter showed 0,7v. Had a spare micro-usb charging board lying...
