Vizio VX42L hdtv10a *No power, no vizio logo orange light or white light*
I have Vizio VX42L...no power nothing at all. The vizio logo on front bottom of TV does not come on orange or white light when press "power" on. Any idea I can get chance to fix this TV?

Sounds like a standby power failure, or a blown fuse. Start by disassembling your TV and taking pictures.

Hi if you enter VX42L hdtv10a in the search facilty above there are 4 threads regarding this tv. It may help to read them if you have not already done so. Tom has asked for pictures I will add my usual greeting telling how to post them. Please can you also update your profile with country and mains voltage.
Welcome to the forum-
We can help a lot more if you please post good clear pictures of the whole chassis, and then pictures of each board, front and back and close up of connectors, (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) using the manage attachments button, which is found by clicking "go advanced" under quick reply.
Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

Check the bottom left connector, one of them should be labeled with 5VSTBY.
Please post the picture of the connectors of the power supply so we can read the labels on them. Please keep the picture in focus also.

Since it's a Vizio and they are only sold in North America to my knowledge the OP must be on 115VAC 60 Hz.
I would check CAREFULLY across the big Rubycon 180uF capacitor. Use the 600 or 1000V DC range.
Also do check the plug fuse (do you have those in US & Canada?), it may sound silly but it has bit me before!

I think ive found damage its under the power board...i took picture. Tell me if its normal or its for sure its damage. I do not know what this name of part. Here picture of damage, i marked red circle on picture.

Looks like that chip had a bad day. :/ I think it's an L6562D from another post on this forum, but that might be for something else... It is likely for controlling the PFC side, so expect the MOSFET to be shorted for the PFC. Is the fuse blown on PSU?

Did you check it with a meter? These ICs rarely fail like that without a serious amount of energy being dumped into them.

you said L6562D, i check ebay it has 8 legs. The bad chip I have on power board has 16 legs. Wonder where I can find those part?
My error. I'll try and dig up the thread on this TV that had a similar power board - the numbers may be visible.

I mean test the fuse with a meter. What do you get on 200 ohms? I find it hard to believe the fuse wouldn't blow with that damage.

Okay it's fine so the next step is to figure out how the IC has been damaged. Are any of the MOSFETs shorted? It's possible the current limit control somewhere has prevented the fuse from blowing somehow, or that the IC has failed for another reason.
