    Panasonic tc-42px14

Hello, I have the dreaded 10blinks on this unit.
I have replaced the power supply board and still the same problem.
When I plug the power cord into ac wall, nothing happens no
    lights, cliks etc.
Once I press the power button on remote or tv, I can hear
the relay clik, and within seconds unit shuts down, and then
I see the blinking light, every 3 seconds or so.
According to the manual, it says it is a possiblity that it is
    the A board.
I am having problems uploading the Schematic, says waiting
    Bad Caps. Any help appreciated

Forum file size limit on PDF's is 9.5MB. Yours is 25MB.

Since the manual says the A board is the culprit, it seems your replacement of the P board was premature.

Your description of the blink code is incorrect. What you are describing is the 1 blink, not 10 blink. See page 13 of the manual. Either way, it still points to the A board.

Indication is a 5v Standby timeout failure on the A board. Something is killing it on the A board.

Be careful on the board number. The "base" number is TNPH0800, but they are specific as to model. Yours would be TXN/A1EWUUS. They all seem to hover around ~$100. Be sure to get one with -at least- a 90 day warranty.

Toasty, thanks for your Reply. I will have to follow the trace from the
A board connector, where the 5vstandby enters from the Power Board.
Can I post a Link, as to where one can download my Schematic? Yes, you
are Correct, it Blinks one time every 3 Seconds. I do get all the voltages
from the Power supply board , at the Connectors, of course I have to do
the measurements, one at a time. As the unit shuts down after a few seconds
I see I already put up the Link.

I noticed when I press power on remote, a very small led green light comes on
the SC board, A bright red light on A board, but no light on SS board.
Not sure if it has a led light. I could not see it on the Schematic.
If someone can also look at the schematic, let me know if I a missing
it. Also, not sure which are the voltage regulators on A board.
          Any input appreciated.

Does your TV click three times in quick succession (<0.5 seconds apart) when first plugged in?

No, it clicks 2 times and then 5 seconds later the final 1 click and
unit shuts down. Screen does not light up.
Tom, I have 2 power supply boards, the first one original, it
blinks 1 time. the second one which I just got. It blinkds 10 times.
But, both have the 2 clicks and then the second click and shuts
down. I do get all the voltages at the output of Power Supply.
But, I have to take voltages one at a time, as unit shuts down
within the 5 seconds. I also get the voltages at the A board
              connectors.

Well, three clicks typically indicates MC201/MC301 failure. What code does 10 blinks mean? According to one manual it indicates 5V, 3.3V, 9V or tuner power SOS, but I'm not sure if that applies to your model. If so, it indicates an A-Board, SC-Board, SS-Board or P-Board fault.

This unit does not have the MC201/MC301 boards, that I have seen in
a video. The 5vstandy is always there, even after the unit shuts down.
Toasty mention, something might be killing the 5v standby on A board.
The first thing I looked for was the voltage regulators, could not locate
it. Panasonic Schematics do not give you much info.

                    Re: Panasonic tc-42px14

Noticed I only get 5.3v on pins 7.8 and 9 on A6 connector.
This is supposed to be F main panel on 15v.
I believe this is the problem:

The Panel CPU on the A board outputs the “PANEL_MAIN_ON” Command (3.2V) to pin 11 of connector
                    P25 on the P board.
The PANEL MAIN ON command turns on the power supply circuit that outputs the Vsus, Vda, 15V, and 5V.

I get no 3.2v on pin 11. That is why I think there is no 15v coming out of
Power supply board, Also on A-board pin 11 no 15v.
I read there is a 3.3v regulator that supplies the CPU, then in turn it goes
to pin 11 of A-board, then to power supply. I looked at the Schematic
and does not show a 3.3 voltage regulator. Will keep plucking away at
                    it.
