Vizio SV320XVT loses picture after 15 minutes

    Hello all,
We have a Vizio SVT320XVT that is 18 months old and now it loses its picture after about 15 minutes. After it loses it picture I can shut it off for about 10 minutes or so and then turn it back on and it will have its pictuire back for another 15 minutes or so. Is there any way to troubleshoot this down the the board level. I see there are several replacement boards I could purchase - main board, IR board, T-Control board (?), power board, display board. I havent opened it up yet. We spent $480 for this - it was a Christmas present I got for my wife Dec 2010.

    Thanks

Need to elaborate on what you say.
Loses its picture -does the picture AND backlight go off?

I can shut it off for about 10 minutes or so and then turn it back on
    - is that with the remote - the on off switch- or unplugging?

What does the power light do when the picture goes off.

My suggestion would be for you to take the back off and look for any signs of damage - bulged or leaking caps / burn marks/

Next when it has been off for a while switch it on and with a hair dryer warm one of the boards to see if you can accelerate the fault. Let it cool between boards.

It may just be a loose cable that is disconnecting when the set warms up.

If the hairdryer plan is inconclusive unseat and reseat ALL connectors.

While the back is off take a picture of the whole chassis (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) and post it using the manage attachments button, which is found by clicking "go advanced" under quick reply.

Are you saying you do not want to do any component replacement.
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair
