Replaced all caps except large 450V in the middle. Checked for cold solder joints. When i plug it in the relay clicks, red light blinks 4 tmes but nothing else happens.

    Any ideas?

Why have you posted the picture upside down?

    Welcome to the forum-
We can help a lot more if you please post good clear pictures of the whole chassis, and then pictures of each board, front and back and close up of connectors, (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) using the manage attachments button, which is found by clicking "go advanced" under quick reply.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

It will be useful if you can say a bit about yourself - skills tools etc.

The forth capacitor from the bottom of the left heat sink at the secondary side looks bulged, is it..? Strange since you replaced them all. Also, which brand and type did you use?

I nearly got crazy after I recapped a (working) router to extend its lifetime, when ALL the polarity markings on the PCB was wrong It worked for a few minutes but then the capacitors started to pop. Therefore, as a general advice, look how the capacitor which is to be replaced is connected before desoldering it. It´s not fun to ruin new capacitors and have to do all the work again...

All replacement caps were Nichicon, some of them i upped the voltage (10v to 25v) to make ordering easier on myself. Otherwise same UF same voltage.

I can solder and use a multimeter. Have a Hakko variable temp iron and a harbor freight digital MM.

None of the replaced caps are bulging, must be the angle and lighting in the picture. Might take some better pics on monday if it will help diagnose the issue. Although at this point all caps look perfect as do all solder joints.

The polarity markings are very clear on this board. All caps were in proper alignment and all were replaced in the same manner.

None of the caps were bulged or leaking before i replaced them, i was hoping for a quick fix, but that obviously didnt happen.

The symptom before and after replacing the caps is exactly the same.

Can you check voltage on each pin for each connector. Put your black probe on the corner screw- red probe on each pin and report the voltage along with its legend/label. For example,

          Connector CNxxx
          pin 1 -5VSB - actual 4.99V

on the primary side there are 2 small caps at cp802 &cp807.
Did you change these? Although small if they are the start up caps they could prevent the whole system starting.

Are the 4 blinks repeated or does it stop on red or go off. Have you been able to find what the 4 blink code means?

Did you check the fuses one obvious white ceramic and 2 bronze looking barrel things in the centre of the board. Power off Meter on ohms one probe on each side of fuse -post the results - should be the same as touching the probes together. Would have spotted them hours ago if the pic had been the right way up.

Will test those connectors on monday, TV is currently at work.
I did test the ceramic fuse (tests fine of course), didnt realize those bronze barrels were fuses, will test those out as well.

Thanks for your help so far.

I have a Samsung LN-S4041D that just clicks and never shows a picture and I don't hear any sound either. I removed the board and I have inspected it for bad caps and bad solder joints. I can't find anything obvious. I have not read for any voltage anywhere because I dont know what to look for. I am technically inclined, but I need a little direction as to where to go now. Thanks for any help! pics of the board are attached

Samsung TV won't turn on ... keeps cycling the power relay on & off
                      by Journey11
                      Hi All,
First time posting here ... my name is Kevin but my friends call me Journey.
I have a Samsung 75" LCD model UN75RU8000FXZA that I don't remember the original fault other than it wouldn't power up anymore.
After it sat for many month's I decide to look at it again. The motherboard seemed to have power regulation issues. After much fussing I decided to just get a new MB.
It came a few days ago and I installed it now just cycles the power relay on and off ... when on the backlights light up and then dim and then relay kicks off and the whole things starts again....

                      by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                      Assuming...

                      by PantherDave
                      Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                      Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about...

                      Samsung UN43NU6950FXZA No power
                      by mrtek
                      Hi

Picked up another TV. Samsung UN43NU6950FXZA. No power and no standBy led on. Removed back cover and:
                      Main fuse = OK
Back light LED = OK. Power them with aux power source
                      LED output = OK 156V
I do get 12 V DC out of the power supply going to the digital section but no 5V or 3.3V. PS_on voltage is only 1.8V. I have looked everywhere on the PCB , I could not find i reference for 5V output.
Also removed connections to panel, speakers and remote but no luck. One strange thing is that even with the LED power supply working, backlight LED do not turn on...
