    point out a couple parts...

    This is the 2nd TV im working on and want to get it tested and parts ordered. Ive read on here if your blowing a fuse on start up its usually a mosfet, bridge rectifier or main primary cap.

    Could one of you guys point out the Mosfet and bridge rectifier for me? I had circled what I thought was them, but it didnt save for some reason...

    Samsung HPT 5064

    Power supply-PSPF31801A

    Thanks

    red=Mosfet

    Purple=bridge rectifier

    Green=?

    Is this right?

      If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.

      We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.

      Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

            Both devices are bridge rectifiers, in a parallel configuration.

              10-4 on that. Thanks for the help.

              Can you recommend a book or website to learn all these parts?

                Hmm, try searching for pictures of parts, like bridge rectifier. I've mostly learned by disassembling lots of things when I was young (much to mum/dad's upset), so I know what most parts are.

                You can also try googling the part # and locating the datasheet, but it looks like those bridge rectifiers are using some kind of proprietary part. Still, they are standard parts.
