Sony Bravia kdl-40v2500, not working properly bad caps?

Hello. I was given a bravia kdl-40v2500 that behaves weirdly. I get a picture for 5 minutes, then it turns off, then turns on again, displays picture for 5 minutes, then off again maybe 5 times, then it is permanently off. When it shuts down I get 5 red flashes from the status led in front of the tv. Before I start the process of disassembling the tv I thought I would ask here. Is this typical of faulty caps? Is this a much more serious problem? What is your experience? Thanks for the help.

    05 Flashes DC_ALERT3 DC_Alt

Would indicate a bad voltage open it it up and post pics

I will source a camera and get back to the forum. However it seems I can't count. It is actually 9 flashes. I don't know if this changes anything.
