      Re: Samsung LN26B360 Flashing Backlight

I tried resoldering all of the inverter transformer pins and no change.

I measured PIN 1 again. It stays at 1.19V the entire time the TV is on regardless of the back light. When I turn off the TV it drops to 0.04V.

I have attached a few photos of the main/logicboard. I attempted to follow PIN1 but it seems to be attached to one of the internal layers on the logicboard as there are no traces or VIAs for it.

I found a point on the logicboard called "T1.2V" perhaps this is where the 1.19V is coming from that I am getting on the POWER ON/OFF

      .

T1.2V sounds like a test point so 1.19V is probably the correct voltage. I don't have years of industry experience so it just seemed like an odd voltage.

          Re: Samsung LN26B360 Flashing Backlight

I have seen this half lit lamps symptom before, it can be that the Inverter is not putting out enough voltage to drive the tubes or it has too much load due to bad/leaking ballast caps (small blues caps, 10pf 10kV). You should do the Ohm test on those caps out off circuits using the highest Ohm range on the meter since cap can breakdown when over 1000V is applied to them, your meter does not put out enough voltage fo testing these caps but at least you can tell if it has any resistance reading at all, it should read open circuits.

Thanks for the advice. I guess my next step would be to just go through and start replacing all the through hole caps.

I have just finished replacing all of the ballast caps as well as all of the electrolytic through hole caps and it has made no difference, I am still getting the "flashing" backlight. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should try next?

                Hello Community!

                CASE DETAILS

Promblem Signs: Backlight on 1 sec off 7sec > repeat && Red standby light: 1blink, off 3 sec, 2 blinks, off 5 secs, 2 blinks, off 3 sec, restart cycle

13V present on powerboard output. Backlight continues flashing after removing cables to pannel one at a time and even with both disconnected. NOTE: backlight STOPs flashing and remains on when connector between powerboard and mainboard (note Tcon built in) is disconnected.

Tried inserting firmware on USB and left it in for a few hours, but no change

Dell G3 15 3500 - Battery bug (black screen and flashing keyboard backlight)

                Hello,

YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo

I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.

On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.

I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.

I changed the battery with a new and original battery.

I also had corrosion/oxidation on the...

                Samsung QE82Q70RAT no backlight
                by sansanpartida
                Hi everyone!

Hope you're all having a great day, and thank you very much for stopping by and taking the time to read this post to help me with my parents' Samsung TV.

                My issue: No backlight.

                Model: QE82Q70RAT
                Type No: QE82Q70RAT

The TV was already serviced by Samsung once under warranty for the exact same issue, but six months after the fix, the backlight went out again. Now, Samsung is asking for nearly the same price as a brand new TV to fix this with the same 6-month guarantee.

So hopefully, I can fix this cheaper.
