hi I have the same problem with this how do u tell what pin 5 and 6 are ? there is 4 on top 4 on bottom with the writing facing the readable way ?

No one has managed to post a picture of this eprom or where it is on the board
Can you do that?
On the board one of the pins may be marked - "1" or with a white dot. Similarly the
eprom may be marked with a dot for pin 1

Nice one Vince - still not sure as there is no A series fix BUT it does say the white triangle indicates Pin 1
Just as an aside in case I forget when I enlarge pic post25 the tiny trace from pin 7 to
R1865 looks broken - can you continuity test it.
Adam is your tv an A series same as OPs

Actually if you google eeprom short pins 5 and 6 there are quite a few hits

The first thread has a blow by blow way of doing the shorting while switching on. As Vince says its at your own risk - may be safer taking it off the board and doing a reset?

or may be buy a replacement eeprom not sure if they come blank and it re writes the data back when you turn it on or if there preprogrammed.There isnt much info really for the A series listed.

Good - any sound ? may need a source dvd or pc connected?
Did screen flash at all -does menu work? what does power light do?

I have sound but no pic I have voltage to the buffer at the top so im thinking the av board has gone

Hello All I have replaced two caps on power board,
and done the eeprom reset, gone into service menu set tuner to auto and scrolled to reset and enter by scrolling right.

The set reverts back to standby. power back on and do a tuner retune, but cannot get it to display any found channels.

just static on screen.

Any help with this.

Hello All.
I own a samsung TV model 32D403. by default it does not have function of playing movies, it can only play photo. On internet i found i fix that through service menu, we can change the TV model and movie function will work ( https://www.avforums.com/threads/how...2d403.1499787/ ). I tried it , and it was bit successful also, bust mistakenly in search of better and better model number, I think i changed the model number to some smart TV, for which hardware doesn't match with selected firmware. So, after that my TV is not booting up. I tried to reset the EPROM as well. After resetting, TV boots up, but it does not have correct colors and slow as well and Neither it enters in service menu, and after restarting it again goes to "no boot" condition. Please help me out, how can i fix my TV, as samsung official repair center just asks to replace the complete card to solve the issue (expensive fix)..
