Heres the story - bought the TV with a bad power board. Order a replacement board on Ebay and install it. Check the outgoing voltages and adjust to specs according to label on inside of set but notice green and red speckles and just a generally dim and weird colored picture. What would cause everything to look strange like this? Im trying to understand what the Ysus and Zsus boards do and how to test them but I am extremely new to TV repair. I also managed to find a service manual by searching a thread on here but none of the examples they show in the PDF look similar to my problem. It also seems like it takes a second for the picture to "fill in" so to speak.

Re: LG 50PC3D - Picture slow to react and weird colors
You have a bad Z-sustain. The fault is caused because the Z-sustain is not pre-charging the panel properly, meaning it cannot change rapidly. Also, the colours often appear with a deep purple tinge, even on white scenes. There are often fuses on the Z-sustain that blow which can cause this; test them. Also check the logic and power connectors as they can sometimes come loosened when you work on the TV.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Re: LG 50PC3D - Picture slow to react and weird colors
Yeah it almost looks blue in person and greens look awful. The dashboard screen on my Xbox 360 is ridiculous. I will check and see if there are fuses on the Z-sus and report back. Thanks for the prompt reply!Comment

Re: LG 50PC3D - Picture slow to react and weird colors
I believe the blue is caused because the panel (because of the faulty Z-sus) is not properly converting the UV light into visible light, so you are seeing the blue/deep violet end of the spectrum, but that's only speculation on my part. Please do not PM me with questions! Forgot to mention the lower heat sinks on both board are cool top heat sinks are warm.Comment

Re: LG 50PC3D - Picture slow to react and weird colors
It'll be the IPM on that cold heatsink of the z-sus. I Think the ERC IPM is the bottom one if I recall, and a fairly common failure on a set at around 15-20 thousand hours use.
They can fail Open circuit (as in your case probably) as well as short, but the short usually ends up making the set dead or blowing the board fuse....TELEFIX

Re: LG 50PC3D - Picture slow to react and weird colors
On the IPMs (devices under the large heatsinks) check for shorts between VS, SUS_OUT, and GND on one IPM, and ER_HI/ER_LO to ER_IO. Each will read something on diode mode one way, but there should be no bidirectional reading (below 1kohm or so)Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. by gjlpereiraHi forum.
I'm working on a macbook pro, model a1708, that is running extremely slow.
Everything on it seams to work just fine, it just works extremely slow; painfully slow; especially running macos (windows and linux actually run OKish on it, slow, but usable).
One other symptom of the problem with the machine is that the fan is always running at full speed.
This machine has been worked on by someone else previously; they tried to repair it, but with no success. The motherboard does have sings of being worked on, but it all looks good/OK; like... -
by Loki_FidoHi folks,
This HP Pavilion Aero 13-be1021AU came to me for a repair. And it seems to have a weird BIOS chip. (Pic attached)
I asked my CH341A to read it and doesn't even know what to do with this. We are both very confused.
BIOS - XMC 25RU128CH10 (1.8v)
What the heck is this? I looked all over the MB. This is the only bios.
When I asked the NeoProgrammer to detect it, it just pops up an empty screen, and asked me to enter the bios number. And when I did, it doesn't do anything. NeoProgrammer showed me just this SPI ID: 204418. Don't know what...2 Photos-

by silikon77Hi!
Got an 70 inch Philips tv model 70pus7855/12 from scraps and I decidet to give it a go. I'm an enthusiast but no porfessional in the electronics.
Found some advices watching youtube nad came up with this:
It came with no picture, after diagnosing it I found out that the right side of the T.con board was faulty.
I taped down the clock signals and I got a picture but the left side of the panel has less pronounced colours. Only the right 3rd side of the panel has good colors.
See attached picture.
I tried a few combinations to block individual clock...1 Photo01-02-2025, 02:26 PM -
by nissimezraHi to everyone.
I never seen something like this. I have HP Notebook 15-dy1731ms motherboard: DA0P5DMB8CO REV C that is very very slow. I tried all the basic, updating the bios, replacing ssd, replacing ram, soldering all coils, reflow CPU power supply but the laptop is still very very slow. Never seen a motherboard that is slow. CPU power suppliers 1.8 volts, the cpu barely getting hot.
What left for me to do is reflow the CPU and try manually programing the bios chip with programer.
Anyone have any idea what it can be? -
