Got this for free with a cracked screen. I had a screen (LTA-460HH-l04) so I put the parts except for the TON in it (big job!!). Now I have this problem. Is it the TCON or the panel?

Re: Mitsubishi lt-46144 problem
Is the replacement panel identical to the original panel?

Re: Mitsubishi lt-46144 problem
also check the resolution of the original and the "new" panel (if it's not exactly the same model number)
Had a similar results on a netbook. Reason was that the replacement screen didn't have the same resolution as the old cracked one (1024x576 vs. 1024x600)
Garbage on the screen looked similar.. chopped up and all over the place.

Re: Mitsubishi lt-46144 problem
The panel is exactly the same as the original. It's a samsung panel. I replaced the TCON with the original one that came out of the set with the cracked screen and the problem is the same Maybe a main board or as I suspect the panel I've had in my garage for a year is bad.

Did you ever see the replacement actually work properly?
Did you ever see that symptom on the cracked panel?
