Replacing Cracked LCD on 32" Proview???

This is a Proview 3200 I believe. Someone gave it to me, because
someone banged into the front screen, and cracked the glass
badly, and now when you turn it on, there are white and black
patches following the cracks across the screen, with horizontal, multi-colored lines up and down. Pressing the buttons does not change the
    display.

So I'm considering buying this replacement LCD:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/370556029200...84.m1438.l2649

But I'm not sure my T871015.01 inverter board works:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/150693633714...84.m1438.l2649

And I'm not sure my V320B1-C is ok:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/170731604365...84.m1438.l2649

How do I test the inverter and the V320B1-C?

    Thanks for your advice.....

    Some more info:

One one hand, I'm thinking the inverter and the V320B1-C are
still ok, because the LCD screen is a thick 1 inch, and since
the blow to the front was clearly around the center of the
screen, these boards should have been well insulated from the
force. Also, the fact that the screen still lights up and displays
bright white, and other colors, is a good sign.

OTOH, the bad sign is that the picture never changes, and the
buttons don't affect it, and I cannot bring up even just a menu.....

    Thanks for any help......

It is not uncommon for a broken LCD panel to have no detectable picture information. It just depends on how it is broken. The rest of your TV is probably fine.

You've got to weigh up the cost. Most LCDs with cracked screens get binned; it's not often economical to replace the LCD. Sell the parts, and buy a TV with bad caps or something to fix.

True. But I've looked on Craigslist and ebay, and I figure I could sell a used 32"
LCD for about $200 or so. Most people want about $100 (this includes shipping) for a used, working LCD of this type on Ebay.

But you can make a "best offer" for less.......I may try to lowball the guy....

$100 profit isn't much, but OTOH, is it worth the hassle of selling the parts through ebay, and all the packaging you have to do?

It's your decision of course, but I'm not sure you could sell one of those for $200. I usually sell a 32" LCD for £80-100, about $130 - 160.

You're in England? At least in my city, they are going for a bit more, with
some people asking more than $200.

But assuming I decide to sell the other parts, about how much do you think I could get for them, assuming everything else in the TV works?

Possibly £30 for the main board, £30 for the PSU, £30 for the inverters and £3 each for the bulbs. Plus the remote control, if you have it.

The CCFL backlight bulbs - there are around 10-12 in a 32".

ipad pro 9.7" blew a SMD component while replacing the screen 🤦‍♂️
                      by ipatch
i have an ipad pro 9.7" (1st gen) A1674 where i replaced the screen, but never attached the screen to the frame/chassis (glued down) due to the ipad being previously dropped so the new screen would never fit in the frame properly. so i need flex/bend the chassis to eventually fix the new screen in properly. so i temporarily just applied blue tape around the edges of the screen to keep it in place. when watching videos with the ipad the screen started flicker, so i though maybe the new quasi cheap amz screen i purchased was going out. so i disconnected then reconnected with power still on,...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
                      by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

                      by mmccomputer
I have an HP model : 14-cf0011nf and I want to change its display screen (it has an original 14" full HD TN 30 pins panel) which works without problem but I want to put another screen with an IPS panel, the problem is that I tried several screens but there is no display except with the original screen, I never had this problem before I changed hundreds without problems but this PC is not 'accepted than its original screen
otherwise on the motherboard it displays edp and I don't know, do the panels I tried only work with the LVDS protocol?

Macbook Air M2 A2681 Kernel panics after screen replacement
                      by reformatt
Just had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".

It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...

A2338 Screen replacement - Clarification needed. What do you actually loose when replacing the screen with OEM Pulls?
                      by AJ847.63e
                      Hi All,

Just wanted to get some clarification on replacing screens on M series machines (M1,M2,M3,M1pro,M2pro,M3pro) as there is so much conflicting information out there. Some say even when using OEM pulls you lose True Tone and only that, others say you lose that and webcam, others say you lose those two and also the lid sensor will not work, others say you lose nothing as long as you use OEM pulls.
So, which one is it actually? Using original OEM pulls. That seems to be what has caused the confusion, people using cheap aftermarket than being surprised when it does not work...
