Re: Samsung LNS3241D - No picture, sound and backlight OK
I have a samsung un50h6350af when I turn the tv on the backlight comes on but the screen is black. You can hear the sound. When I took the back off looking at the tcon board if i disconnect the right side ribbon cable going to the led half the screen will work. So I thought it was the tcon board. I went to eBay and bought the same exact one and replaced it. Doing the same thing. Can someone please help me.Leave a comment:

Re: Samsung LNS3241D - No picture, sound and backlight OK
yup, I fixed my LN-S3241D Samsung LCD.....been trying to figure out with lot's of help with the Forums and clue's on youtube, from no picture with sound with vertical lines to the new LCD again I have...answer to mine was the TCON, though I started out with the capacitors which one was slightly buldged...then turned it on and was good for only 10 mins..then went blank with vertical lines again...searched for TCON which was my second obstacle as I learned it from amateur tv techs on youtube..thanks peeps, it was interesting speculating the problem..infact I may make a hobby of it and start fixing other peoples tv problem...thankfully I happened to find/search a former tv repairman whom is retired but still works at home fixing t.v.'s stumbled on him on craigslist here in MN than ordering 75 to 80 dollars on ebay which he sold it to me for 20 bucks...Installed it and was happy to get my LCD back to work infact looked nice! Here's my result within 3 weeks learning from peeps!......Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

Re: Samsung LNS3241D - No picture, sound and backlight OK
go for the tcon, theyre pretty reasonably priced, if it dont fix it, then you at least eliminated it and you have a spare if you ever need it.would TCON solve this problem I'm having same problem (no picture has sound) I recently ordered the caps (equivalent) installed them since i've noticed 2 were bulged and decided replace them all from clean slate...it was great for good 10 mins...until it came back how it was no picture and but sound with lines on the screen as illustrated on my pic..Leave a comment:

Hi guys,
I have the same problem with the exact same model Samsung. Just wondering where you purchased new (or used) t-con board, price, and see if everything was still working. Much appreciate any suggestions! ThanksLeave a comment:

I just wanted to let you know that i have been following this thread with the same problem and i went ahead and bought a used t-con board and it fixed my problem. So i can say that i'm 99% sure a t-con board will fix your problem.Leave a comment:

If the V33 point measures the same as that odd PANEL_V voltage, I'd say it's fine.Leave a comment:

Re: Samsung LNS3241D - No picture, sound and backlight OK
Thank you for your assistance Tom. I do have one more observation and another question to make sure the problem is not with the main board.
In an earlier post i listed voltages from the LVDS cable with all cables connected. Last night i unplugged the LVDS cable on the main board to gain access to the rest of the pins on that cable, this is what i measured:
GND; -0.001
A1+; 1.028
A2-; 0.795
GND; 0
CLK+; 1.308
A3-; 1.220-1.226
GND; 0
PANEL_V; 3.528
GND; 0
GND; 0
PANEL_V; 5.37
PANEL_V; 5.37
Notice that one PANEL-V is lower than the other five. Could this be the problem or is this normal?Leave a comment:

Re: Samsung LNS3241D - No picture, sound and backlight OK
My error. I meant V33.I just can not find an L33 anywhere. There are several V33's indicated and each measures 3.3VDC.
I did notice a POW_ON label near RP27 with a solder connection that i could probe. It only measures 0.005VDC. It is located just above the LVDS cable, above and to the left of F1. Any ideas that this is normal?
I'm drawing blanks. I say just replace the T-con and see if that fixes it.Leave a comment:

Re: Samsung LNS3241D - No picture, sound and backlight OK
On the righthand side, L33V. What voltage does that measure at?#
Since you are getting some voltages on the LVDS, I'm very tempted to say T-con.Leave a comment:

Re: Samsung LNS3241D - No picture, sound and backlight OK
I did measure F1 Tom. Resistance is near zero with the power off. I measure 5VDC on both sides with power on. Thanks for the feedback.
It may be interesting to note that the TV behaves exactly the same with the LVDS cable (I believe that is the cable to the T-con from the main board) connected or not.
Please keep the suggestions coming...Leave a comment:

I see one fuse, F1, on the board, to the right of the connector. Can you test that fuse?Leave a comment:

Re: Samsung LNS3241D - No picture, sound and backlight OK
Can you take a picture of the T-con and post it here?Thank You Bill.
I did not know how to isolate the problem between the main board and Tcon. Is there a preferred place to purchase the Tcon board? Any places i should stay away from? Should i get the cable too?
If it makes a difference, I did measure a few voltages on the LVDS connector on the main board side (ones that i could get to). All measured referenced to frame ground, VDC:
AO1; 1.159
A1-; 1.186
GND; 0
A2+; 1.235
CLK-; 1.156
GND; 0
A3+; 1.167
NC; 0
NC; 0
GND; 0
PANEL_V; 5.36
PANEL_V; 5.36
PANEL_V; 5.36
Thanks again.Leave a comment:

by IerwinHello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged... -
by TR103Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
- sound and backlight, but no picture
- when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
- it keeps rebooting
- without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
- without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
- when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.
- without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered... -
by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and... -
by gl4709I am working on a Samsung un55cu7000d which has backlights and audio. There is no picture. This model does NOT have a separate TCON board. Before I order a main board I would like to try and confirm that the issue is not in the display. The ribbon cable from the main board goes directly to the display and I can then disconnect the left from the right. When I disconnect the right side the display lights up on one side but has no video being displayed. Can you all give me some guidance on how to confirm the main board is the issue.

by LaPCon_ITTV has one combo board (VTT55UH160). Symptoms are like this.
When part of the screen is disconnected (white part), it looks like this
Resistance and voltages (I don't know if they are good or not). The inductor with 0ohm/0V seems to be connected to GND.
I haven't noticed any shorts on rails listed below:
VGH - 30V
VGL- -9V
VAA - 14V
VCOM - 5.6V
STV - 11.95V
LC1, LC2 - +30/-12V
All CKV lines (no shorts between them) looks the same:
I've tried to cover some lines with...7 Photos12-15-2023, 03:55 AM - Loading...
