Tried FF 3.6 and 7, Chrome 11, Opera, and IE 11 (unable to install earlier version). Used find function with no luck. Can somebody send me this PDF?

I purchased some of the the flat ribbon cables on e-Bay. They were shipped from China and I got them in about a week. You will need to know how many pins and the width of the cable.

I have a philips 42pfl3704d/a7 with no picture, Iknow it has something to do with the inverters. I have checked the voltage at the cn1804 and cn1803 connector and got 50v, isn't that to high(should be +24v )? the screen flashes when you turn on the tv everything else seems to work sound, channel changer and you can see the pic. with a flashlight.

I suspect you may be using the wrong ground for your measurements. If you are really getting 50V DC, a lot of capacitors should have blown tops.

Might also have your multimeter on AC, instead of DC voltage. Im too lazy to consider whether that makes voltages seem higher or lower then normal.
Fixed so far 12 lcd's , 1 plasmas, 5 monitors, 0 dlp's (plan to keep the dlps at 0). and 3 atx power supplies, and 2 motherboards.

Ok now I got 24v was using ac instead of dc setting, I was using the hot ground of the tv, now I suspect the invertor board to be the problem, tried resoldering all the connections on the board no help.

The standard procedure here is to provide clear focused top down view pictures of all your boards following the instructions in my sig file below exactly.

Afterwards, we can suggest other test points.

Thanks to all who have posted help on this thread thus far. I t gave me a place to start looking for my offending components. We have a nice bright white screen, sound and can move through the channels. Tried all inputs, and the output is the same. Just a bright white screen.
I know HOW to use a multimeter, just not sure exactly where to test inside the tv.

Check to see if the SMD fuse on the inverter board is good. A good fuse should measure less than 1.0 ohms.

@dadsfishin, so you do have backlights, you do see glowing screen, if you do, then you need to check the surface mounted fuse and voltages on the T-CON board, its the board that sits at the center top middle of the panel in the back. Post the pictures using attachment function.

Arrgh, of course I meant t-con, not inverter. Thanks budm for posting the correct check.
